I recognize that sweet voice anywhere -- the GREAT Paul Sunderland calling this match!! It's like music to my ears when he and/or Chris Marlowe are calling a volleyball match. Watching the VNL's was TORTURE, listening to those British or Aussie announcers. None of them even KNOW the game, let alone know how to TALK about it, and they keep getting players' names wrong. TY Paul for being the vb announcing LEGEND that u are~!
1:34:12 Man, this impressive spike by Chaussee was just a thing of beauty. Check it out in slo-mo. She literally looks like a ballerina, so smooth, with PERFECT technique, and so much speed and power at the same time. I love the way she kicks both her legs back a bit right after leaving the floor, then just ELEVATES, and then HANGS there, and then this super-quick armswing, power + control, beautiful and graceful 1-foot landing... geezus. I used to study and try to emulate VHS recordings of Karch Kiraly, Steve Timmons, Ctvrtlk back in the 80's, truly dissecting EVERY body position, arm/hand position, etc... and Chaussee is just SO technically and artistically perfect. Luv the long approach too, that's how I do it yo~~ start from WAY back, HAHA. Anyways, incredible player and abilities -- very similar a story as Nunneviller (both under-sized former liberos with AMAZING all-around skills).
1:59:01 Great rear-camera view.. Look at how fast Chaussee unloads this cannon. To me, it looked like there wasn't enough space between the blockers... her speed is so sick. I've seen players like this before in real life... blockers are simiply LATE getting up because they're not used to someone getting up and on the ball so blazingly fast.
1:40:03 When Nuneviller hit that nice shot down the line, into the deep corner, I think Chaussee really DID think in her mind... oh yeah? I can do that too, but BETTER! Lolz, it was a bit better, I think.. she came flying in, her torso was turning towards the court, but she does this no-look, cross-body hook shot, get's good wood on it (listen to that sound, such a sharp thud), and AS SOON AS SHE LANDS, she walks-off like, alright, I'm done with that... next. Can u say 'style' and 'grace'?
