The kinda fixed it some time ago, only to revert it back on some T-34 because of a bug report. It’s a back and forth. First a bug report that it should be weaker, then bug reports why it’s weaker then it seems. When the Devs have no clue what’s going on in their game.
The KV-2 turret weighed about 12 tons by itself, which was around half the total weight of the KV-2, creating significant balance issues and it was difficult to traverse, especially on uneven ground. Now imagine adding even more weight to the turret.
i think it would be safe to assume that all of us love the less text more vids, i think your finding the right amount of text and no text in the vids, just the way i was thinking, i cant really explain it but i like the more videos throughout the week. Makes it much better.

The driver's hatch is 75 mm RHA angled at 45 or 60 degrees I'm not sure, while the rest is 45 mm of RHA, hence the non pens on that thing are more frequent
The SU-100Y can definitely be a fun vehicle. Brought it to a 6.7 lineup and got full up tiered to 7.7 BR. Ended up taking out 2 Maus and a few Tiger II’s.

At the Q&A there was a question What would you change in warthunder... I would like to add more realistic scenarios if driver is killed. Instead of hitting the break the tank should move uncontrollably for a while. ... I would also make bigger bombs do more visual blast (not actual). For example 5000lb bomb blast should be seen from far away... More dramatic And last but not least... Imagine the sound would travel at the right speed... You first see a blast and than hear it.
Two things to know about KV-85, it has the same armor layout of the KV-1S hull (75 with no addition on the front and 60 on the side), and gets a bigger turret ring wich can negate your angling if the ennemy sees the round part on the side of your hull
The plate on the upper sides is also only 40mm thick I believe. The plates that bulge out to create the room for the larger turret. The KV-85 though was always one of my favorite vehicles. A superb blend of capabilities and quick armor.
That whole multi-kill stream from 12:35 onwards was exquisite. Also shows how many people don't *listen* for tanks. And don't clear corners. And just sort of bumble through a match in a way where you have to wonder whether or not they share a single braincell amongst them.
Sometimes it's that the sounds don't work. I've been caught off guard plenty of times with silent and/or invisible enemies. But overall, yes people get zoned into something and ignore everything else around them.
I love the KV-2 Zis 6 so, so much. It pens everything and almost always one shots with the massive TNT filler. Not many players use it because it’s slow and awkward, but one-shotting jumbos and tigers is so satisfying 😁

SU-100Y was a single prototype tested in Poland in 1940. Sturmtiger was not produced until 1944. So basically majority of ww2 big chonkers came before Sturmtiger, not the other way around.
KV-85 is quite bad at sidescraping due to the enlarged turret. They had to bulge out the sides of the hull to get the turret ring fit so it's a large weakspot.
I saw that in those videos, on "modern" tanks (From Cold War era) Dollar plays very good but overal that's all. But when it comes to low tier tanks, Dollar is absolutely goofy and amazing to watch. The sheer fun is visible.
2:03 when you see the side of a puma and you have APHE loaded, shoot the turret, not the hull. the turret is thinck enough to fuse the shell, hitting the hull will always overpenetrate
Panther G has some large areas on the turret where the armor is around 190mm at the base of the turret face it can even stop apfsds as the armor plates overlap and it give it around 500mm+ of protection

The funny thing is that this kv 2 shoudnt even be able to kill a jumbo, panther or a jagpanzer from the front, but the shell has so much fillar that the game just doesnt care and kills the tank anyway
The hardest thing about the KV2 ZIS 6 is that your turrets front armor is so easily penned by everything which makes playing it less than fun when AA pulls up destroys you frontally.
you have amazing gun... so dont use it in places where a AA can sneak up to you.... if you understand... heavy chunky slow tanks dont like tight spaces; stay out in the open, behind a wall or somthing if you cant handle some little AA XD

Lvkv 42 is such a crazy thing at its br nothing slaps like it does. SU-100Y is my favorite big tank in this game it needs to not be a premium more people need to experience the house cannon
