In today’s video I have decided to start my ultimate journey and challenge of turning a single dollar bill 1$ into 10,000$ all by only buying, selling and potentially trading sports cards. I will be trying to teach as many people as possible how exactly I buy cards, what goes into my thought process when selling cards, and also some downfalls I’ve had when doing this challenge. By the end of the challenge my ultimate goal and hope is to have 10,000$ in cash and to be able to showcase every part of the journey. One of the things that I’ve seen people do is always starting with a higher dollar capital and never actually pushing themselves to the ultimate test of trying to actually turn someone’s 1$ stickered card into 10,000$. Sure it’s gonna be possible, with time and smart purchasing it’s very much achievable. It seems like a really easy idea especially in todays market where you might be able to just solely buy and sell cards to repackers, but in today’s market I don’t see much people trying to do the low end game, more and more people just want to go into the higher end stuff. That’s cool and all but I just want to prove that although one might be easy now, one might be also more difficult to do so in the future than it is now. If you test yourself and continue to grow your knowledge in sports cards whether it be to study videos all about buying and selling, whether it be being able to actually purchase and sell low end sports cards for a profit. I think that now is the absolute best time to test yourself and see how well you can actually do by just using sports cards. This is an amazing start we have to this series, I’m hoping one day to be able to see we’ve completed the challenge and to show you guys that it is very much achievable to do this for your own enjoyment and something that could be done and enjoyed while you’re doing so. I love selling low end sports cards and I love buying sports cards in bulk quantities so doing low end cards is right up my alley and should never be neglected.
Great start! Remember to stay focused and consistent. I shared with you my story in 1998 with my initial investment of $38.50 and turned it into a down payment on a house 10 years later. It is absolutely possible, but very difficult. I know you can do it!
I appreciate your support and your words on encouragement :) it’ll be a fun journey, but definitely challenging. Super awesome to have heard your story about it in person, super wild the things that cards can provide and bring if you put in the work and time!
Thanks for being transparent on the math and methods. I’ve always thought it would be cool to really scale this type of trade-up process out. There are some vids on RUclips of people pretending to do this, but it’s clear they’re dealing with friends to help them out and also just very rough estimating the financials.
Yea my whole goal of doing this challenge is to never let anyone know whether or not I’m buying or selling for the challenge or if it’s for other avenues that I’m selling something! I did purchase that second lot off of one of my friends I met at a card show, but I did offer him more than what he did want to sell it for, and it did help out the challenge a little bit. One of my goals is to actually end up doing another 1$ series as well and to do it more about focusing on getting everything documented. Probably will be doing a bunch of 1$ series in the future here.

@@ruffasportscards well what you did with your friend doesn’t seem egregious. A different video I watched had a guy trade his $1 to a friend for a $25 card, then $25 to $60, $60 to $100 and so forth till he was at $1000 four trades later. It was boring because it’s just clickbait at that point, nothing notable or fun really.
Anyways, I just dropped a sub and look forward to the coming vids!
@LlllIo I appreciate your support very much! :) super glad you enjoyed it, and yea most definitely one of the wildest things is those videos of just absolute nonsense trades
