    Yes, I totally agree with this statement from the very bottom of my being.
    My intention is everything, God indeed will take care of the rest if I open myself up to it.
    It’s a grace indeed.
    I thought I’d forgiven only to realize later it was nothing more than trauma bonding.
    I do my bit- intention, trusting God will take of the rest if I truly surrender myself and those who hurt me. That itself is hard!

      Mind you, there are harms that without divine intervention so to speak are impossible to forgive, and I don’t think that you even HAVE to do that. I can say yes God I want to, but I never felt forced to forgive.

      Interesting points, turtles! I appreciate all of this. I like that you highlight the concepts of opening yourself up to God in the process of forgiveness, and the willingness to do so. It's all part of the process! If only it were so easy to "just forgive and move on". The same as to "just let go" haha. This is what all the work can look like!
