Actually, now that I think about it again. Prisons COULD be luxurious because they’re placed used to reintegrate criminals back into society. They don’t need to be luxurious but they could be if it helps. Of course this is in the case of low security prisons, idk how high security prisons work.
Saw a video where a person did a fatal hit and run, and was sentenced to only 8 years in prison. Crazy that stealing 360k+ is considered more heavy than taking a someone’s life
She said she was cooking the books for the company. If she stole 367k, Imagine how much the company stole. But as always the lowest person on the ladder goes to prison while the CEO and executives walk free. (Looking at Wells Fargo Bank)
@@tl1533The bank said he was a good customer and didn't want to lose him - he did something that's done by every realtor and bank yet some unrelated party ie the partisan AG went after him to make him look bad and those in the kangaroo court ie the political appointees in the partisan jury convicted him. I worked in a prison, not including the sexual harassment, but as degrading and nasty as some of this stuff sounds, it has to be done when it comes to those body searches. In Norway she would've been given an apartment, still away from society, but not stripped of all comfort for stealing from a big company, she would have learned her lesson through thought and reform over time, not be put into a consistent state of anxiety and fear of both inmates and supervisors alike, just to be released worse off mentally than she was before. People in the comments aren't understanding her point. The concept of "don't do the crime, if you can't do the time" is so reductive. Plus really think about it, 20 years...2 decades of a human beings life thrown away for a white collar crime (what she was sentenced to) is FAR too much and it's crazy how more people don't understand that
Exactly. And the fact that so many people think “doing the time” should involve sexual abuse, violence, and depriving incarcerated people of basic human needs.
This comment section has no compassion. She acknowledges her mistake and did the time for it. Her issue is not that she was punished. It was on HOW she was punished. Prison is supposed to help inmates reintegrate into society, not abuse them and strip them of basic human rights.
Were you gay before you went in? It seems like most, if not all, women who go to prison become lesbians after being incarcerated. Your wife looks terrifying. I feel sorry for your daughters. If you knew what you were doing was wrong, why keep doing it?
