It’s awesome to see Richie bowling back then, he still bowls over at my home center and works with me. Such a great guy and even great bowler, even being left handed I look up to him a lot and love watching him bowl 😁🎳
People forget how dominant Chris Barnes was from 2000-2010. I think in 2005 when he won POY he made over 10 shows out of 22. If he didn't struggle on TV like he did, he would easily have over 30 titles.
Chris Barnes has been my favorite since the US Opem in 2005. When someone trash talks he backs it up. He could have 30 titles if he didn’t struggle like he did
Don't read further if you haven't watched the matches yet! There are spoilers below. Barnes was a unlucky to lose that match considering that stone-8 shot should have carried. But rather than focusing on that pin not falling, his reaction to the shot is something I find even more interesting. If you're a bowler yourself and want to improve your game, this moment could be something to think about if you ever get in a similar situation yourself. If you focus on Barnes' reaction, you can see that (it seems) he's able to quickly put that shot aside that could have carried and granted him the victory. He yet knows if he makes the 8 pin and strikes on the fill shot, he can force a roll-off, and take the match by winning the roll-off. And he manages to make the spare and throw a good fill shot as well. Too bad it didn't carry either. But he had a fairly good chance to win nonetheless. Amateur bowler on the other hand could easily "throw in the towel" in a situation like this. What I mean here is that they could easily let the thought of that 8-pin wander around in their mind yet on the fill shot when they would have to execute the best they possibly can.
Thought RP said 200 wouldn't win this match? Well I can't really talk I hardly ever break 200 but love watching these classic matches from my young years.
Too bad Duke didn't win but the 2008-2009 season was one of my favourite. But if the POY race was a vote i think Duke would win that year because he has a Major that year and Malott not

Hey man, tell him we miss him in Culpeper!

Unpopular opinion, but I consider Chris Barnes to be top 10 all-time. I think he’s 19-29 in title matches.

1:07:11 that shot I think haunted Randy A LOT more than it did for Chris. Still crazy to see how that all unfolded even 10 years later.
@@Ben-jz3mt That's the point hes making........

Notice how Randy went absolutely silent after Barnes left the 8-pin. Must've hurt him more than Barnes.
I think he is ok with it despite the history. He even uses it in his twitter name
that 8 pin was brutal considering the scenario as well as them bowling on easily the hardest pattern at the time
Amleto Monacelli ages like fine wine

It’s so nice to watch a professional bowling match where the crowd isn’t being instructed to make a bunch of noise...
2009 cargo pants?! That man has style.
Ya cant help but respecting Duke, after admitting that he was nervous as Hell. We can all relate!
I absolutely love norm duke
it said chris barnes needed a sapre and six pins to win and he left the seven which was a ope frame and he still won by 3
Mike Scroggins and Chris Barnes have bowled some exciting matches
Andrew Phillips how many exciting matches have they bowled?
This is the only title match with scroggins vs barnes
30:30 would’ve made the 7-10
I'm glad Mike won.
Felt bad for amleto
Anyone else see a bit of Early Anthony in Wolfe
Yup, similar approach, smooth lefty, I can see it.

Chris Barnes almost got Dutch 200
*Super*
That's a trip to see Belmo with only 1 title in this video, now he has 30
And they weren't lying when they said that he was going to change bowling. He definitely has
Elly may çorey 2day FM radio show
the pattern got a bit tricky in the title match
Andrew Phillips how tricky was the pattern and what made it tricky?
No shit. It's the US open
The shot was tricky all day!
Norm was weak here
19:00 “I don’t speak spanish” dude that is italian. Don’t be racist. 😂😂😂
Amleto Monacelli is from Venezuela. They speak Spanish in Venezuela.

Woody Paige with one of the most accurate sports takes ever when he said Jason Belmonte would change the face of bowling 🎳
