Celebrating the Birthday of Guru Ram Das

Sikh Dharma communities around the world celebrate the birthday of Guru Ram Das with a special program from 4:00-6:30am on the day of the birthday. We gather in a gurdwara, where possible, and sing the shabad in praise of Guru Ram Das, "Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur, Jin Siria Tinay Savaaria" continuously for two and a half hours.

From, 1991 to 2001 (until I divorced and left to Germany) for 10 years we did that at the Hacienda of Guru Ram Das in the state of Querétaro, in México, it was my house, it was our honor to provide in order to do the celebration for 3 days, sometimes we had between 300 and 500 people if there was a wedding. We received many blessings and healings happened in those days. I was always in the kitchen and supervisinng all so many people who came never knew it was my house and my effort, which gave me a humbliness forced teaching which I very much appreciate from Gurú Ram Das! Others claim it was their place!!
