- IT'S HERE! College Football 25 has arrived and this is my first Dynasty series using the Miami Hurricanes. Miami was once a college football powerhouse, but those days are long behind us. The Canes need someone that can restore this program and in this Dynasty we will look to rebuild Miami into the best team in CFB once again.
This Dynasty Rebuild should move at a fast pace. The emphasis is on the team building, with much of the time spent on recruiting and managing the roster. We do watch games in a CPU vs CPU setting to maximize the importance of player ratings, traits, and abilities. We will be simulating many games as well to speed up the pace and allow us to develop the team over many seasons.

Of the 34 points, 14 was because of interceptions thrown in the opposite red zone. 10 was from roughing the punter that extended drives. 7 was late during the game that didn’t matter (assuming a penalty on the on-side kick). Which means that the defense really only allowed 3 points.
Any time you mess with conferences (add/remove schools) the conference schedules get messed up. I’ve seen cases where schools will play literally the *same exact* schedule every year, or no conference games at all, or some 8 and others 9, etc. Also, there’s no option to set any protected rivalries, so games like OSU/Mich, USC/ND, etc. will just… not happen. It’s so buggy.
Yeah o did mass realignment about 5 years into my dynasty and the new pac-12 with exactly 12 teams ended up with a whole conference where they played 0 conference games. Ruined the experience in that save for me

Great series so far. I believe the development is supposed to work like that? With the idea the AI or "player" will spend it on attributes closer to their play style.

Hey Cane, make sure you save lots of points. Once you hit level 50 you are out of points can can’t redistribute them. I ran into this problem in my 12 year dynasty. I got 2 National championships but didn’t have any points to buy any upgrades in the CEO category.
If you add teams to a conference, you will have to go to conference rules and just set the amount of conference games otherwise the new teams won’t play any conference games.

I don't think Miami would have won without the roughing penalties, but still sucks that it happens so often. EA, please!

I’ve been simming punt returns. Cat take chances with that crap. One stop can be the difference between a win and a loss. Two is just about lethal with how hard it is to get stops.

With Boogie Turners experience in the trenches, I imagine it would translate to Oline as well. Something to consider when upgrading him

Cane one thing to said was incorrect. The players can and will gain overall in the middle of the season and it’s intentional. It was said in the dev blog
Insane to me how many bugs are still in this game. It’s really fun to play but holy hell do they need to buckle down and fix this stuff…
Yeah there’s some wierd shit going on with bugs, and the sim is strait up bad(especially after year 1)
The only problem I've had with custom conferences is when divisions are added. It wouldn't let me use custom schedules, but it fixed itself the next season when I moved it back.
I've had no problem with just moving teams.

I would keep the same fast pace for season 2. By season 3 a lot more starters should be your own recruits, so you can slow down then

Custom Conferences should be fine now. Just make sure in the conference settings, the number of conference games doesn't change.

Played against Samson Okunlola in high school. His nickname is "Pancake Hancho", and yes I did get pancaked by him. But we killed his team 34-6 or something like that lol.

You gotta turn roughing the kicker off in settings. Even if they said they patched it, it's EA, you can't take them at their word. Probably still a loss, but it was impossible to get immersed into the game because of those 2 unrealistic penalties. Side note, Love the way you did this video, really speeds up pace while still showing the actual players in the franchise making the plays!

Going into the postseason it was like Ward realized which user's team he was on and decided he'd better pick up the INT pace.

Seen way to many dynasty NC routes go through North Texas, then Toledo.... sort of takes the fun out of it. You want big schools in these games, gets the blood pumping.
Yeah the sim sucks. Before the start of every season I go through each team and force the better teams some wins. It takes a while, and I still leave room for upsets(trust me Texas year 1 didn’t even make the playoffs) but it’s worth it both for realism and for when I (eventually) make the college football playoffs the gauntlet will be there

I am 51 and have been watching fooball since '82, and I cannot remember ever seeing any team at any level have TWO roughing the punter penalties in a game before. SMH.

Welp hate to say it but seeing how my noles lost twice it seems i'm gonna be a cane (youtuber and team) hater for the duration of this dynasty. At first it was just during fsu games but now I'm all in for a cane downfall every episode.
