When I was studying to be an actor at PA college, our tutor said “what is a character actor?” Then she put a clip of Lizzie on a projector and said “that ladies and gents is a character actor.” And that’s how I got into Prisoner. I only have to see Lizzie and I smile 😃

It's simply impossible to cram all her isms into a short vid, but you did good. Some of my top faves are 'well, I'll be buggered' after her first encounter with Ferguson, and 'wake up Australia!'......😂
Lines like "bugger me dead" rofl funny and offensive to sensitive people maybe but they aren't politically incorrect, Bea and Fletcher had a few homophobic lines and some characters were racist and those parts would be classed as non PC but the programme was progressive and ahead of it's time for the most part.

Lol my local station used to air this show when I was growing up in the 90s. Somehow my only memory of Lizzie on this show are the laundry room scenes.
Everytime I hear lizzies voice I get full of grog get a frankie on and start talking australian I used to bring her roses I never will again the grog gets in my brain and I'm sectioned once again 😢😢😢😢❤❤❤
The greatest tragedy in Australia has been the loss of these types of old characters. Our society has become ultra pc and has all but diluted the Australian character the world knew and loved

nothing Lizzy said would be non PC they'd play it all still, but some of the homophobic and sexist stuff other characters say wouldn't pass
