Kudos to you as being a respectful young man towards an awesome senior whom you now have as a friend for life.
I am a senior myself and a lot of young people do not have the time of day for older people and often laugh at them.
What they need to understand is if they took the time and communicated, they might be shocked to find out that they may be possibly quite close in opinions, things they enjoy,etc.
The most important thing is when bridging these two gaps, things learned and passed along to each other is an immense partnership in improving both lives.

I am blessed to be Tony's brother in law and that was 100 PERCENT TONY- this was completely genuine and he and his wife are generous hardworking good people. I got a HUGE KICK at seeing this. It was a true pleasure and I appreciated the phenom's attitude. Good success to all!

I don’t think that is the case. Seems like he wanted to keep it but it isn’t a great track car. It is fast but it is so heavy it murders tires, gas, brakes, etc AND it is too loud to use at some tracks

I could say the same thing about a Nascar. What the kid realized is that it does cost too much for gas tires...... yes because of the weight..... but when those tires are fresh that thing does pretty damn nice on a track.

For $100,000+ and over 270 more horsepower it should. Let it be known he kept his C8 but got rid of the GT500
Similar to the new owner, I had a 67 camaro but with a BBC and a 150 shot capable of 9's and finishing top 3 in the advanced group road racing 15 years ago. I had to sell it and just recently purchased a 2017 ZL1 with now 650 whp that's almost as fast in the qtr, faster at the roadcourse and can knock down 25mpg while comfortably cruising (something the 67 could never do). Congrats to seller and buyer here!

Young and confused is all I can say. Maybe an older car built just for the track is what you need. You definitely sold it to the right person. An awful lot of effort just to dump it after a few months but it was going to bankrupt you if you tracked it on a regular basis. Good luck with your next vehicle(s).

Seems to me that you got a C8 and promptly threw in the mustang towel shortly afterwards. Weather you like it or not, you have crossed over to the dark side. Based on your few track runs in the mustang I can't blame you. Between fuel and rubber if I was a track guy I'd dump the mustang also.

Yeah, the Handling Package 2020 Shelby GT500 make him smile more than Carbon Track Package GT500, Handling Package is slightly cheaper than Carbon Fiber Track Package, it is hard to smile after spend 100000+ for a Carbon Fiber Track Package 760 hp Mustang.
