The Matthews goal to make it 4-2 served Tampa right. They made a line change, then just kind of stood around, like they forgot who they were playing against. Matthews, Marner, and Nylander. You don't sleep on those guys.

Toronto did a great job adjusting to Tampas defensive play late. Getting the puck in deep so the Lightning collapse to the inside then using the defense and half boards to open up shooting lanes. Nice piece of coaching there.
Absolutely right, was kind of hoping these adjustments would be made going into the 2nd period.. however better late than never! hopefully can close this thing out in Game5!

Listened to all this on the radio, as I was on my way home from a pub....after watching period 1 and 2 there. Amazing comeback. No one believed it would happen....but I said it was a possibility, after the previous game.
If the Leafs could win a Cup just for Joe Bowen alone. The guy can inspire enthusiasm from the most pessimistic of Leafs fans.
Bowen was alive the last time the Leafs won the cup. There are generations of fans who weren't.

Toronto just beat the best team in hockey, over the past 4 or 5 years, and only played a complete game once, game 2. Now that the monkey is gone, watch out Panthers.
The sad part was that joe Bowen and Jim Ralph were not in Amelie Arena when calling those goals. They were is a studio announcing off a large TV monitor.

Love these videos and love the calls, but that is such a bad call on the 3rd goal. It's such a great play and they seem to think it was just random. Still a thousand times better than SN.
I agree, it was a well executed set play. On the other hand, the Leafs were looking sloppy on the PP until that moment. Bruins will pummel them if the Leafs can't clean up their play. Leafs over the Bolts in 5 (here's hoping).

Downtown Edmonton is so small it’s basically an open field compared to Toronto. I’m sure you remember Jurassic Park during the NBA Finals. The crowd filled the main area and Bremner Blvd. all the way back to Rogers Centre. The size of that crowd dwarfed anything Edmonton could muster. There was probably more people there than in all of Edmonton.
The problem is there’s a condo development or hotel I believe just passed the fence behind the crowd and the parking garage entrance/ exit for the condo/hotel is right there. So they can’t go on the road and block it
