Was thinking the same thing. Tellez the second batter in the inning would’ve been struck out because the 2nd 1-2 pitch I believe it was was a strike. But because he didn’t get his body in position it was a ball. Then hbp next batter. Then the strikeout of McGuire. Then the Jensen HR. Then Romo strikes out the first batter he faces. Then boom Rays win 8-5. But it didn’t happen.

i was rewatching old jays highlights to relive the good times to when i saw this video suggested. I didn't think too much of it as only to just a big walk off. the more i watched it, the more i realized how similar it was to the recent august 2021 game against the athletics. i saw the familiar old faces which brought joy but sadness as to which they are not on the team. i see that romo is coming in to pitch and then it clicked that he was the same guy that pitched to semien in august. Then i see teo come on to pr which shocked me as i didnt know he was on the roster at the time. then i see lourdes come up to the plate which shocked me even more. In my head i thought "who thought they would be where they are now, look at them now". It blow my mind how similar this game was to the one in august. i feel as if this was the start of the jays we know today into something amazing. please excuse the word vomit, i just felt moved to say something after watching this video. cheers and

2021 here - you ain’t wrong! Jays are frickin stacked and dangerous this season. Their record doesn’t quite reflect how good they are but that’s mostly due to key injuries. Once they get everyone back, they’re the kind of team no one wants to face. Even hobbled as they are, they’re top 10 in MLB power rankings. They’re a legit top 6-5 team. This is why baseball is great. NO lead in a game is safe.
This is also why the “unwritten rule” of baseball that says you shouldn’t swing on a 3-0 pitch when you have a late, big lead is dumb. I wonder if any Tampa player took on a 3-0 count in the 8th or 9th inning in this game?

When I'm at the game I as well hate seeing fans leave early if the jays or leafs are losing it's not over until the fat lady sings the last time I was in Toronto for a game it was the leafs vs blackhawks on thanksgiving day the leafs were down 3-1 in the 3rd period playing at a slow pace and I kept telling myself it's not over until the fat lady sings sure enough the leafs tie the game send it to overtime and Auston Matthews got the game winning goal

Romo gets Morales to fly to shallow centre, lands in an impossible spot between three fielders. *Two pitches* later the Rays lose.
