Your passion for the wild birds just warms my heart, Im a huge animal lover having 4 rescue cats myself...my fur babies. Anyway I just love this pour, I have been trying to get the pearls with no success yet but I will keep going and hopefully get it one day soon..lol
Your Art And Your Furry And Feathered Family Are Soooo Amazing❣️Although All Of The Ring Pours Are Amazing, I Would Like To See The Results Of The Third Pour You Are Planning. The Third May Be A Charm For You❣️Thank You For Sharing Your Artist Knowledge And Your “Babies” With Us❣️💐
If your looking for the gold to pop thru you need to pour the gold in one single puddle, not a donut shape. The paint poured in the donut hole stretches out to the sides. Pour your colors directly on top of gold puddle to maintain the gold underneath. Also, slightly less colored paint. The gold is heavier paint so only the stretched edges will pop through.
Does this help to give more pearls too? I'm not getting any. Did she put silicone in the gold? I made my gold thicker and the other paints thinner. Thank you!
Chelle 7 In my experience, I always mix my paints the same consistency with the same amount of water and small amount of white glue for all colors, and I never use silicone. I am all about simplicity. The gold is a “heavier” paint to begin with .... heavier does not mean thicker! I also never torch till the end after all tilting and stretching is complete. And I only torch briefly as overheating the paint causes it to thicken and cells can not pop thru.
The colors in this pour are absolutely gorgeous. It creates such a vibrant shade of purple, and it contrasts beautifully with the gold. Your backyard is magical. I adore Scruffy. :) That is some Disney princess level of wild bird friendship.
Love the contrast with light n dark and your circular lines are awesome. But look at the gold this way.... they are pulled into the cyclone. And your gold flecks are revealing the depth of the cyclone. It’s my story and I’m sticking to it!😍
Hi just wanted to say some things about my experience so far with painting. You know the cardboard piece that comes with a new canavas ( that says the size of it) I saved it ..cut it and now use it to catch paint in the corners. If you have a KFC in your area...get some popcorn chicken...the container it comes in has a lid with holes in it already...I will use the other part of it to mix my paint and then pour it into the lid with the holes in it. See how it will work. Want to mix the colors gold, sliver, purple, yellow red, blue,...then ring pour into the lid with the holes. Hopefully it wil be beautiful. You have inspired me to use other things to paint with. Thank you.
Plus I want to add some glitter to a painting....what do you think about this? I really admire your work and love your backyard and your puppies and your birds....you just so lucky ....big Hugs...(poops to personal)
When you pour the gold, instead of pouring it into a circle, pour it right in the middle then do the ring pour on top. I did it last night and it works perfectly! It still pushes the gold out into a ring and leaves the center as the ring pour but you don’t lose any gold off the edges and you don’t get any intestines. I used the same paint ratios you do. I forgot to add that after I poured the gold puddle in the middle, I tilted the canvas around in a circle to spread the gold paint out so it formed a thinner but larger circle. Not too big. Maybe another inch or two around. Then I did the ring pour on top. I didn’t add any gold to my ring pour cup nor did I pre-cover my canvas with a background color.
Immediately had to subscribe when I saw the kookaburra! Love to support fellow Aussies and artists. I am a lover of birds and enjoy the families around our home. Glad to have found you.
I just love watching your videos.. whenever I'm having a bad day I watch your videos for your beautiful pours but your humor always puts a smile on my face and I forget what had me down! Thank you, don't ever change. Love Scruffy too!
I love listening to you and love your interactions with those amazing birds. WOW! That pour is gorgeous! I think my fave so far ... I think! Thank you.
Very Nice I think less paint is a good idea it is lovely like the colors. Getting ready to try a table top with resin finish on an old sm round one maybe turn into something beautiful. Hope I can take it off base to tilt it's about 24inches across. It's fun trying new stuff Thanks Julie for sharing love scruffy he is looking better
Love the pearls! Can’t wait to see if pouring the gold in the middle works!! SCRUFS is looking good! Thank you for all your hard work trying to get those pearls just right and sharing!!
Julie you bring so much joy with the birds you have fabulous wildlife, I know how expensive it is to feed them cost a small fortune every month, but worth every penny 😊😊 Lovely pour again and yes I guessed you would be pouring gold first lol 😆😆👍👍
I love your ideas with these colors. What if you surrounded your gold band with a band of something you don't mind pouring off? Love your outdoor friends. Who is Cookie? What does he eat?
@@wendyhood1962 I thought so. When I was a little girl, we learned a little song about the kookaburra who sits in the old gum tree, laughing and very merry!
I was thinking that a base coat of gold, with a ring pour over the top would work well? I see that Denise suggests this option, also. Maybe You can try that for an experiment? I love Your positive attitude with all things... Your art, the Dogs and the Birds. Yours is a blessed Family to have You.
Lovely to see scruffy, he is looking very white and seems much happier and confident. I would have loved to have seen his face when you threw the seed to the duck 🦆! I bethe thought you were throwing his meal away x😂.
At first I was let’s say ticked that the gold had disappeared but as always you didn’t disappoint. You know I really love you for that. I loved the outcome. So unexpected. Love it. Keep on keeping on 😁from Virginia
I am new to these techniques but having a ball doing it. You gave me a wonderful idea. I know it's not exactly what you wanted, but it is absolutely beautiful 👩🎨🖌
I’m always excited when you have your great introduction because I know that means a little hello to the birds. Scruffs must be the best known bird in Australia! Duck droppings are pretty yucky aren’t they? Do you think Scruff is a wild bird or was in an avery? They pull out their feathers if they’re bored in a cage. It’s warm enough it Queensland to survive if he got out, unlike Tasmania. It’s 7 degrees Celsius today.
I don't think that was bad the amount of pearls gave a magic feeling with the blue magenta palette like a small swarm of firefly's lead u down a tunnel into this new magic world.i like it 😄
This is so pretty! I'm also fascinated by the birds in your yard! What did you end up giving the cute little kookaburra for food since you didn't give him seed like the duck and Scruffy?
Resembles a finger print to me..it's beautiful I love the gold on the outside...have you thought about making your gold the middle layer in your cup..all in the middle that would be the only layer of gold dead center in the cup...I love these experiments
Love this combo of colors! Was wandering what you thought would happen if you put a base coat of the gold over the whole canvas and then do ring pour over the top?
I just found your channel amd had to subscribe. I am absolutely in love with the last one you showed that you had done before. I tried finding that video but i couldnt and felt sad because i could spent hours just looking at that painting😍
Beautiful! thank you for your generosity of spirit in sharing so much details! would a heat gun work the same as a torch or must definitely have a torch?
These are so pretty! I love them! Suggestion? Maybe put one layer of gold in the cup towards the end. Do you think that may help keep some of the gold towards the edges?
The gold is like popcorn popping. Yes, it’s still pretty. More than pretty. You torch for quite a while. I know the gold is under there, but how do you keep from scorching?
Here's a solution, keep the thicker gold and thinner paints in ring pour, but instead of a ring of gold you pour in center of, make a puddle of gold and pour into Center of that.
SHANNON OSBORNE that’s pretty much what I thought of yesterday and I tried it last night and it works perfectly!!! I didn’t add any gold to my ring pour though. Just poured the whole puddle of it in the middle then did the ring pour on top. After tilting it left just the ring pour in the middle and all the gold was pushed out into a circle but barely any gold was lost over the edges. So instead of only having pearls on the far outside edges, they fill up a lot more of the canvas but don’t form the dreaded intestines. One thing I forgot to add and I’m not sure how much difference it makes, after I poured the gold in the center, I tilted the canvas around in a circle a few times to spread out the gold paint so it formed a larger circle, then did the ring pour on top.
Watching you feed the birds, I forgot I had clicked on a paint pouring video... It was very nice to watch!
I love how you take care of all those beautiful birds.❤️ that’s why your art is so beautiful. It’s in your heart! ❤️
I so enjoy your videos. You crack me up with your honesty and humility when things don't turn out as you planned. Your work is beautiful.
On a scale of 1-10 this is a 12........there is absolutely nothing I dislike about this pour. ♥️
Thankyou so much
Me too! It is absolutely perfect!!👍👍👍👍

Scruffy is really coming right along. This pour is truly beautiful. Can't wait to see the next one.
Scrubs is so cute. So glad you are feeding them

That first one was gorgeous. This one is super pretty too.
Come for the art, stay for the bird seed.
I love listening to you and love your interactions with those amazing birds. WOW! That pour is gorgeous! I think my fave so far ... I think! Thank you.

I love your ideas with these colors. What if you surrounded your gold band with a band of something you don't mind pouring off? Love your outdoor friends. Who is Cookie? What does he eat?
It's a kookaburra. They eat meat. It's a member of the kingfisher family but lives in the bush here in Australia

Just so cool!
Wow! Love it. I look forward to seeing what comes of the gold in the middle of your next pour! AND love your precious birdies!!

I like it exactly as it is. No wrong way to do art. :D

I have to say that you torch your paintings much more often and longer as such than a year ago. Is there a reason for it?
My mix is thicker now
Thank you. I am learning and you are so sweet with it
When I use flotroel and do a ring poor there are so many cells over the whole canvas. Why is the gold the only color celling up?
Very beautiful can I ask if you bought your torch with the can and if not how do you get the can to stay attached
I love scruffy. He's my favorite bird. And Kookie, too.
These are so pretty! I love them! Suggestion? Maybe put one layer of gold in the cup towards the end. Do you think that may help keep some of the gold towards the edges?
You should pour the excess paint onto another art surface and do something with it. did you have all the birds since hatching?
They are wild birds
I love it.. 🥰🥰
The gold is like popcorn popping. Yes, it’s still pretty. More than pretty. You torch for quite a while. I know the gold is under there, but how do you keep from scorching?
