i love the Green Car 🥰 when i visit Japan we buy JR rail pass online before travel. Green Car for a week is $373 USD. Limited to Hikari, Kodama & Sakura

I remember buying a JR rail pass and rode the green car from Tokyo to Kyushu and back to Tokyo. I have used the reserved bullet train in the past but the green car was better. I visited Beppu using the local rail line and enjoyed traveling to ten cities in Japan with my Japanese wife. She booked all of the hotels, JR pass and could not travel because I speak very little Japanese being a Sansei whose grandparents emigrated from Japan over 100 years ago. I look Japanese but was born and raised in Los Angeles and visit relatives in Japan and very few speak English. I like watching Japanese travel videos.
That train looked great, would love to travel on it some day. That Bento box looked interesting, but I would pass on the horse meat. Not trying to be a snob, but just not my type of meat. I may have eaten it, but it would of been one of those "don't tell me what it is!"

You missed out on one more item of luxury: a blanket. At 9:17 in the video, you can see a small package on the luggage shelf. Many Green Cars will have some blankets available for use while riding.

I always find it a little odd that people actually eat horse meat. It's taboo here in the states. So I grew up thinking it was the equivalent of dog meat lol. I see many foodie channels all around the world cooking with it though. So maybe one day I will give it a try.

さくら(みずほ)のグリーンとのぞみのグリーン、どちらにしようか悩む。さくらはスライド枕をきちんと合わせれば首元超快適だけど、フットレストの高さ調整が無いのでレッグレストと組み合わせても足元イマイチ。ちなみにリクライニングとレッグレストのスイッチが重い。のぞみは枕が無いかわりにフットレストの高さ調整可能。ちなみに自分は裏返し(靴脱ぎ)で一番高くして使うのが快適。
みずほやのぞみのグリーン車もいつか乗ってみたいです💡
