I recall this happening many times when Apocalyptica gets the original singer to sing along to Apocalyptica's cover of the singer's song. Muscle memory is hard to shake off lol
I never thought that I'd hear an acoustic version of this song, but Lizzy nailed this one. I was waiting for the final note and I wasn't sure how it would sound but wow it was freaking perfect. I think I actually prefer this version over the studio version right now.
Well that proves it, Lzzy is by far the best vocalist in hard rock... no, all rock that I've heard. Unbelievable that she can do that full pelt and perfect in a single take! Little bit of a shame they didn't do a more toned down version for acoustic though, even if the drummer did still transpose to brushes beautifully :P
When it comes to hard rock, I could agree she's got one of the best female voices of the genre (let's not forget rock legends like Steven Tyler, with all my love to Lzzy, I wouldn't want to compare her with those kinds). I'd say Maria Brink from In This Moment has got a hell of a voice - although she's more metal, however, amazing emotional value and I guess best female screaming of all times.
I love her voice indeed ! Especially in acoustic actually, as her voice is softer. (And she's damn beautiful, but that wasn't the topic ^^) But, as said Andrew S, Chester Bennington is pretty amazing too (and even though he lost his voice(s) near 2010, he's back at his best, or almost !) Another great singer you didn't mention is Emily Amestrong from Dead Sara ! Her voice is awesome ! (And again, I find it even more powerful in acoustic, but it's personal ^^)
***** I agree that Maria Brink from In This Moment has a fucking awesome voice, but it seems like she doesn't use the entire potential of it when she's on stage .
Dear gawd I pray for the day her & Cornell do a duet... asked her about it after last time I saw them... she's like... "if that phone's ringin', Im pickin' up"... that would be awesome... she's a sweetheart, and the whole band are cool people... wish them much continued success!!!
This is such an amazing performance of this song. It's a shame this version, or an acoustic version in general, can't be found on Spotify. I would love it if that happens
Goddamn this is good... i'd never expected a Group (and especially a singer) like this to sound so Clean without all the metal thrashing! Very nice indeed...
So concurred. I about fell over in amazement when I saw Halestorm and Alter Bridge together in Europe this tour cycle. So wish I could get a flight over there for a show!
Wow, it's unusual to find acoustic versions where they play with the same heaviness as the electric versions and pull it off so well. After watching that I'm going to have to go to my acoustic and hammer something out!
Joe Redfield now they have sung together. not in a studio tho, just live performing. but at least lzzy sounds better live than in studio records, as we can see here.
I love how she keeps the screaming in with the acoustic. It's awesome.
I love she's doing a little air guitar while she's singing.
i know right? that is so awesome!!!!!
Paul Stanley did that when Peter Criss played the drums for KISS.
She's usually playing in this song I think so it is probably natural!

Like all singers playing guitar:)
Most "unplugged" stuff is more mellow than the original.....but who wants to hear a mellow version of this? I think it rocked.
She is phenomenal !

i love how they can decide to play acoustic on the fly and still be completely amazing
- "do you want to try it acoustic?"
*proceeds to blow the fuck out of my mind*
This is the best version to hear what her voice can really do.
That WAS somethin'!
She is amazing...
this band is amazing...
HER VOICE IS SO GODDAMN PERFECT
i think i'm in love with her perfect voice and looks

I just said almost the same thing on the Live Take for Here's to Us. She is unbelievable.
Andrew S what about Gerard Way? and the female singer from Within Temptation?

Goddamn this is good... i'd never expected a Group (and especially a singer) like this to sound so Clean without all the metal thrashing!

Wow, it's unusual to find acoustic versions where they play with the same heaviness as the electric versions and pull it off so well. After watching that I'm going to have to go to my acoustic and hammer something out!
if M.SHADOWS AND LİZZY HALE sing a song together, they could shake up the whole metal media
Rüzgar Eserol Wow never thought of it, it would be so fucking awesome
Rüzgar Eserol great idea 😉
Rüzgar Eserol you deserve a medal for this idea
Joe Redfield now they have sung together. not in a studio tho, just live performing. but at least lzzy sounds better live than in studio records, as we can see here.

Congrats to these guys on their Grammy Award... See? Negative posting mean zero when it comes to recognizing great talent!
That was pretty cool!
TOTALLY agree!!
When Lizzy Hale says “do it acoustic” she knows what she’s doing
This was awesome!
Oh. My god. Amazement.
Wow... This is as awesome as the original album cut.
Epic!
She is so beautiful .
Awesome!!!!
I love acoustic music.
Lzzy creates a very interesting overtone sound when she sings.
tnx warnersound . i have never heard of it
The breakdown at 1.53 is incredible. Lzzy's voice is just insane.
Great performance by Joe here
Her laugh at the end...ahhhh :)
She's very talented

I know they are different people but for me Lizzy is the female James Hetfield from Metallica!
James Hetfield can sing like Lzzy ....he might sing like a girl but hes not as cute....
+Derek Larsen LMAO
I totally agree with you
@@dereklarsen4626 Have you heard Halestorm's cover of Ride the Lightning?
