Lzzy Hale, Amy Lee, Amy Reagan, Floor Jansen, & Jennifer Cella are some of the best in the Rock genre to me. I’d like to see any of them do a duet with reba McEntire on the song “Does He Love You?” I can see both Amy Lee and Jennifer dueting with Sara Evans too.

It's really interesting to see Lizzy Hale with her eyes closed, grimacing at the song. And Lindsy Sterling, eyes open, smiling.
Maybe They’re both feeling the song in their own way
Two artists listening to one song; both react in a different way. One reacts at the desperation emitted by the vocals. The other smiles at the feeling of freedom at the ending buildup. Whichever angle you look through will affect your reaction. Lzzy hears the desperation of the character to know freedom from the feeling of fear. Lindsey understands the feeling of finally being set free from an endless cycle of pain and humiliation. Whose reaction can you relate to?

The reason Lindsey look free and Lizzy has her eyes closed goes back to them recording the song in the first place. If you watch the making of the song Lindsey opens up to Lizzy that this song is about her breaking free from her eating disorder. Lizzy went back into the booth and belted out shatter me with her eye closed.
it's crazy how lzzy hale always has an amazing voice live and in the studio.. thats not common.. love you girl you are gifted and beautiful!!

What I love about this, is when you take out all the extra stuff or "unplugged " as we call it, they still sound as powerful and legit in their music. I've heard other artists without the synthesizers and edits and the sound is either wispy or out of tune.

Great version of a great song. Lzzy is a really good live singer, hard to find these days, and Lindsey is just amazing. She needs to collaborate with more singers on original songs in the future, maybe an entire album like Santana did with Supernatural.
Lindsey has written a new song called Firefly in which she is singing.. I do know that she is taking time off from touring in September to finish writing and recording her new album and I believe she is writing more songs besides Firefly in which she is singing..

The thing I love most about this song is that Lindsey genuinely did not know who Lzzy even was prior to the recording. Amy Lee was initially slated to do the vocals and suggested Lzzy when her touring schedule made the recording impossible. Lzzy's raw vocals power this song every bit as much as Lindsey's emotional playing.
Yeah, Lzzy's voice is perfect for this. Amy Lee is my favorite singer, but Lzzy's rendition of this song is so much more powerful.
@@Darkswordz Amy's version is pretty good too, and it gives a real nice contrast between their styles. Lzzy's strong voice turns it into a power anthem, while Amy's softer vocals makes it more introspective.

Amazing! Belting large vocal songs is where Lzzy shines! And that girl can play the hell out of the violin. I totally agree with the others. They should do an entire album. I'd buy it immediately.

Stirling is a genious and Hales voice is just so powerfull. I dint know her after hearing this single I got to know Halestorm and bought theyre lastest record, I love heavy metal sang by female vocals, specialy when the female in question has such a powerfull voice.

'Best musician of our time' is some statement, I wouldn't go remotely near that far. But she is amazing, no doubt.

In a world where, imo, crap "music" like Iggy Azaela or Nickki Minaj, is what the cool kids listen to today, I'll gladly support and promote Lindsey's REAL music. She has and keeps evolving an entire genre she's created! Yep I feel confident in saying she is the greatest musician of our time!

Metalhead at heart but I don't mind dubstep. however I feel this song would be a lot better without the electronic elements. This performance made the song appear way more real. Maybe some orchestration in it's place with some heavy percussion? But that's just my opinion. Love'd the creativity on the original anyway
Watch her Child of Light video. It uses an orchestral version of Shatter Me. Lzzy doesn't sing in it though.

So, the "studio" version on Lindsey Stirling's page is next level good, but this performance is otherworldly. I think this is one of the few times were live is almost strictly better. Man, all of them are insanely talented.

Only one thing about this upsets me and it’s that I just found it today. Lzzy hale is my favorite female singer atm and I found this by chance. She’s absolutely incredible. And Lindsey is just amazing with her violin. The fact that this isn’t even close to what she can do is crazy. She could do this and more while dancing her ass off. Both some incredibly talented women

Brilliant video, been looking for a good quality live version for ages. Lzzy has the most amazing voice. Her playing is soooo much better when she's not moving around. I know it's part of her show to dance, and that's fine, but the musical purist in me gets annoyed when sound quality is diminished by dancing, it's just like when vocalists are too busy dancing to sing properly, what's the point in being a musician if you don't exhibit your craft to it's full potential because you're doing something not musical?

Go check out Halestorm, then. I would reccomend "Freak Like Me" for that one scream near the end of the song. It is absolutely insane and she nails it live every time.
