Lane Hutson. This kid. Im telling you hes special. I was in the Bell Centre tonight and every time he touched the puck in the O-Zone the whole crowd cheered. When the shootout came. We all did a standing ovation before he even shot. The goal he shot in for a tip without a doubt was the loudest the Bell Centre got tonight. What an experience to go to even if we lost. This kid is the next Quinn Hughes. Mark. My. Words.

You're so lucky to be able to watch all these games. It's funny, but I could hardly hear all the cheering on the tv for Hutson. But, I was definitely cheering. It would have been the best end to the season. Take care of yourself.

Wouldn’t say Hutson is the next Quinn Hughes… Hutson will be Lane Hutson and that’s special… I see Hutson as a consistent 60+ point player and he will not be as bad defensively as people think… He’s never gonna be a defensive stud but he’s not gonna be a liability either, He loves to learn and from what I heard works hard and is very coachable, So it Marty can get Caufield to be better defensively I’m sure the staff can do the same for Hutson… I would say Hutson will be more like Adam Fox offensively if I were to compare him to someone and if he’s like fox that would be awesome… I think it’s better if we just say Hutson will be Hutson…

4 ? Enjoyed the show all season. Commenters worried about getting a point and leaving 5th overall to Coyotes - if there is Karma, a team that fights right up to the shootout in the last games vs chumps tanking from Game 1, Karma must bless the fight in this team. I came in from behind enemy lines in the heart of “Leafs Nation” for this game - great response to intros and great plays by Hutson and Mailloux. These kids should have goosebumps thinking what the future will hold as team gets more competitive. Playoffs and a Cup run with full attendance will blow the roof off Centre Bell!! GHG!!

Juraj Slafkovsky has done the impossible. He had 2 points. 2. In his first 19. The next 63 he gets 48. Considering in those games 20-82 he was mostly 19 this level of improvement from a power forward with all that complete game is unbelievable. This team is something. Im telling you. When Fowler comes and we fill in some more forwards were gonna make the playoffs. Maybe even contenders.

With Hutson and Mailloux showing off like this, safe bet they will be on the team next season. And Popcorn will probably join them one season later. And with Guhle and Arbie we have a young, fast, strong defense core here. We will have 2-3 d-men too many.

    Hi, Josh, Jesse & Friends.
    - Slaf: 20 goals & 50 Points.
    - Hutson: 2 beautiful assists in his first two games.
    - Mialloux: 1 assist in his first game.
Great game to watch, but I’m confused. Shouldn’t we have tanked this last game? Now Arizona is in control of the fifth worst position in the standings. If they lose tomorrow. We end up with the sixth worst. Am I missing something?
I used to be a Petry fan until his last season in Montreal. He was a horrible teammate to Caufield. He would never pass to him, especially on the PP. And, tonight Petry punched Cuafield in the face behind the net at the end of the second. I loved watching Caufield just stick his head into Petry’s chest acting like a tiny little bull and pushing him into the back of the net, and holding him there for a bit. It's unbelieve how much I hate Petry since Caufield joined the team. Petry’s wife had nothing but horrible things to say about Montreal and the government that last season, also. Good riddance to the Petry’s.
PS: Gally got (16) goals this season. Im happy with that. 1 goal and an assist in tonight's last game of the season. Second Star. Nice end for the year. It figures that in the last 10 games of the season, he started playing the best hockey, and I was out of commission. He played a full season finally in 4 years. Such a huge relief. Good night, everyone. 🤯😎

Wow, how can you keep Hutson and Mailloux off that lineup next year? With engstrom also most likely ready , now the habs have to decide which 7 defensemen to keep and it’s guaranteed 2 or 3 of them will get traded this summer? Are they gonna keep both vet in Savard and matheson who btw will ask for at least 8 mil/year on his next contract
So who between Savard, matheson, xhekaj, struble, Guhle, Hutson, Mailloux, Harris, kovacevik , Barron will they keep? Trudeau and norlinder could always be called up as well
I would keep xhekaj,Savard, Guhle, Hutson, Mailloux, Barron ,struble and matheson only until next trade deadline , but I can’t see how they can keep kovacevik and Harris
Any which way you look at it , some defensemen will be traded this summer but the habs won’t receive much as they didn’t reach even half their potential. Sometimes too much is like not enough and the Reinbacher pick really seems unnecessary right now

I agree. It's a big concern for not only him but guys like Dach too. Our team was mostly healthy this year though. I believe if we won all our 1 goal games we would be at over 50 wins. So we really weren't that far off of being a playoff team. When we get that #1 goalie. Fowler? And another star. Hutson? Hutson already is arriving. Fowler will probably in 25-26.
