- Lucas Raymond scored 4:35 into overtime after getting the game-tying goal with 1:17 left in regulation, lifting the Red Wings to a comeback win over the Canadiens to keep their playoff hopes alive. Brendan Gallagher scored two goals and Sam Montembeault stopped 30 shots for the Canadiens in the loss.
Ken Daniels is one of, if not THE best play-by-play voices in the game. Those goal calls are hype af.

I said before last night that Kane on the 2nd line was a bad idea, the red wings needed that Kane-DeBrincat chemistry. Turns out i was wrong and would have lost if it were not for that decision.

No one has mentioned that hit from behind on Raymond at the other end of the Ice, before Montreal scored their fourth goal! 🤬 That should’ve been a penalty and that 4th goal NEVER should have ever happened! Does a player have to get paralyzed from a hit from behind now, before the stupid refs start calling them again?!! 😡🤬
The officiating was absolutely atrocious tonight!! So glad we had what it took to win it and not taking anything away from Raymond not getting hurt or taken off his game after that. But that was such a HORRIBLE missed or flat out non-call from the ref who was again, looking right at it! Screw the refs again!! 😤🤬🤬
That rule book get pretty thin this time of year. And it's only gonna get thinner.
Unless he got hurt (of course) I’m happy there was no penalty, since Detroit managed to win anyway. We can’t possibly know what would’ve happened otherwise. 🙂 But at that moment it sure felt that it could have been a game changer in the wrong direction.
I'm definitely not taking anything from our great comeback win whatsoever! I agree it could have been a whole different game outcome. I just needed to be acknowledged and I get so sick of the coaches or players not saying anything after the game. 😤 Only because no one has the balls to say something about the refereeing, just because they don't want to get fined. I would gladly call them out and tell them what I think of them! 🤬 I would say bring on the fine! I am an NHL coach or player and I make tons of money a year to pay their petty fine or suspension! 😁
@@markstrong3043 I know you're not going to like what I have to say but you're spazzing out for no reason and in your excitement you missed what was going on. Yes, in most games that hit gets called for sure. However, and this happens a lot this time of year, the refs swallowed their whistles last night, and not just for Montreal. Guessing you didn't notice that shortly after that hit on Raymond one of our guys did the same thing to a Montreal player and guess what??? No call. Refs let the game play and although at times that was frustrating it worked out for us. Now you want to talk about a bad game by the refs. Lets talk about last week when they were clearly helping out the penguins. That was a terrible game. The refs were definitely helping cindy crysbaby that game. But if you watch the full highlights of last nights game you will see that if the refs called everything we probably would not have won. Hell they didn't even call a penalty till the 2nd period and it was against Montreal. I agree that hit looked dangerous but the one ref clearly didn't see it. I think the linesmen should be able to make calls too. Pretty sure the board is going to push for that next season. Go watch the full highlights of the game. Go to awood40 on RUclips. He is a die hard Red Wings fan who posts all the highlights from every Wings win (he never posts loses) and he has all the hits, fights, goals, saves etc. I'm willing to bet tonight the refs are calling a lot more penalties.
