Bought two, one for me and one for the wife! Thanks for the code! Aired up two cars and my Indian Springfield flawlessly… The wife can now easily air her tires whenever she needs. Very impressed and thankful!!!
I've been running the commander II tires for years. With how long they last get a lot of bang for your buck. Rode the pig trail, beartooth pass and other twistys. Through whole days of rain. love them had 1 set of 3s they were great too.
I have been running with Michelin commander lll on my 2015 Dyna Low rider For several years now and they feel sooo much better than those stock tires from the factory. Much better handling and braking too. Also I can lean into a corner with a lot more confidence since they grip the road so good. I think you will run with them a very long time. They seem to wear very well. Keep the shiny side up and look out for them cages! 👍
Thank you so much for the code for the tire inflator! I have been wanting to upgrade to that one for a while, so I ordered it yesterday around 5pm, and it came last night around 8pm! I love how much more compact it is than the one I had! That once has already been moved over to my car.
It's been around 8 years since I owned a cruiser, but I had Michelin Commander II tires on two different cruisers. I really liked them. For the past 8 or so years I've had Michelin Pilot Road 4, Road 5 and Road 6 on a mix of 4 different sport touring and ADV touring bikes. Absolutely love them and I haven't found their limit on the street. It's sold me that only like the top 1% of skilled canyon carvers really need DOT sport tires for the street.
Between me, my son and my co-worker, we have used my Fanttikx9 four times, and it still shows 3/4 battery left. Since you mentioned humming from the Michelin commander 3, I've noticed some humming from mine in curves. Been wondering what it was.
Here in Southern California I'm waiting for it to stop being 90+ degrees.... but I'll likely ride through the winter since we don't get snow where I live (:
Yeah buddy. Best part of moving from TN to NorCal for work…. Riding season all year long. Just an extra hoody underneath the jacket, one layer of long Johns in the peak cold months, but it’s all great riding.
My husband also recently bought the nice little tire inflator lol We’re in PA and we ride until the weather sucks, and then we pray for snow so we can get the snowmobiles out! 😜
Past trike was a 2014 Tri Glide, ran a Commander II rear mounted in reverse. Love them! Tried an Avon for trikes.... hated it. The Commander was so much better in the MS wet.
IDK Jess I ride a Road Glide up in the 216 and my stock tires lasted almost 20k. I ride both freeway and back roads. I had both tires replaced at the beginning of this year at my 20 k service and put stock Dunlops back on and have had no issues.
Riding in the cool / cold weather? The short answer is Yes. I did all last Winter, The whole year in other words. That is except when there was snow, ice, rain, or predictable bad weather coming that day. I didn't anticipate that I'd be able, but '23' was a mild Winter here in New England. Who knows what '24' will bring. One good thing about riding around here, we have all sorts of ride roads., hilly, twistys, flats, & ocean views right on the cliff edge. Mine is a '14' Indian Vintage with 2 new Dunlops. They were not cheepo tires, but after listening to you, I'll be more aware if there's any appreciable, noticeable wear & tear on them. Wishing I'd taken some 2 day rides this season, but there's always next year, when it warms up once again. Then I won't mind getting out beyond my own part of the country. Mt.Wash in the White mountains, The Kanc - Kancamagus Hiway, and The Mohawk Trail along rt.2., these are on my bucket list and doable in a couple days. Anyway, that's the plan. Spring will be here B 4 you know it. I also carry a tire inflator, small tool kit, fuel bottle, eng.oil, extra jackets, weather gear. So am I cautious, well I guess I am too. thanx.
I got the same tire inflator after your recoomended it (THANK YOU), and it actually has saved settings. You have an A and B (Front TIre, Back Tire) so you dont have to look it up everytime...
I have ridden to many places here but it depends on when and where we have a lot of issues with wildlife in certain areas at times of the year and some places are remote and have no great roads or infrastructure if you break down.
I considered getting a tire inflator like that. Fantik isn't offered on Dutch shops I saw, so I generally just go to a gas station and put air in the tires that way. I ride on Michelin too. No complains for me. And since it's Oktober, I just celebrated my birthday, enjoying fall and going through some changes in my life.
Jess, I have been watching your channel for a few years now. I ride a Harley 2021 Fat Bob 114, my first motorcycle. I am considering changing to a touring bike next year. I am bouncing between a Road Glide and a Pan American. You are the only one that I know that has both. If you could only have 1 bike and spend your time on the road, not off-road, which would you get and why? Thanks and Be Safe
I absolutely love my Michelin Commander 3 Touring tires on my 2012 Voyager (900lb bike). I averaged about 20,000 miles on a rear tire. And that is a lot of Highway crushing miles at speeds of almost 80 mph nonstop. I have been in torrential downpours with them and never lost grip. And they have been great on twisties. I am on my second set and I have over 10,000 Mi without a hitch and it still looks practically new. i get mine from Triple Clamp Moto in canada. Usually save about $20 and they are shipped to me within 2 days.
I purchased those Michelin tires for my Street Glide, and they were amazing. Now that I got a Road King Special, I will be replacing the tires with these as well!
I have Road 5s on my RT. When I switched form the Bridgestones that were on it, I didn't expect much difference in feel as I research rain grip over all else. The first intersection went through without needing to stop was what you described. The bike dove into the turn, totally startled me as I didn't think I was putting that much input in to the steering. Once I got used to it, I don't want anything else. At some point I'll find a Harley to park next to the RT and now i know where to start my tire search when it's first change comes due.
I ride my bike because then I have transportation where I have gone. If you add the cost of renting a car when you get off the plane it becomes exponentially higher and a nice bed to sleep in is more in my interest then getting there in less than 3 hours.
Due to your recommendation I bought a Fantic 9 last year. Just ordered a second one tonight. They are awesome and really hold the charge for a very long time. I'm planning on getting a Commander 3 rear for my Freewheeler front wheel. Rears are built even better than fronts. You just mount them backwards. Please stay home this week as Florida is pretty much shutting down for Milton.
Second midlife crisis in April 2024 when I took the MSF. Been riding ever since in and around Phoenix, even when 115F outside. Don't plan on stopping. Escpically while it is October and still 100F. First road trip was late September to LA for long weekend (CanJAM SoCal). Looking forward to second motorcycle road trip in late November to Las Vegas. No idea what I will do when I get there. Eat probably.
Here in Texas it’s just starting to be riding season. I mean I rode year round but it’s almost finally. Or a million degrees in the sun! Woohoo and riding in the mornings is absolutely Devine! Plus even when it is cold it’s almost never wet. And also it’s finally comfortable to camp so yeah it’s like the opposite of Ohio! I hate camping in Texas before October.
Florida is not really "weather friendly" right now. Three hurricanes over there right now: Milton, Kirk and Leslie. Keep your eyes on the weather. I wouldn't fly down there either, with things the way they are over there. And I don't think you'd like riding in a hurricane. Be safe and have fun.
Ran with American Elites and they never lasted more than 13k miles. 3 bikes running with Commander II and now III's all have lasted 23-26k. Those with Legend suspension and the ride on any surface never fails!
So I love in New Hampshire I rode last Sunday it was 38° when I left my house I'm hoping to ride until the end of October and by the way I'm running messlers I love those tires I only have about 3,000 mi on them but the tread is holding up really well
I just bought a 24' Pan America last night and installed my Saddleman seat (Low Adventure) like yours. Since you have some time on yours, does it soften up eventually? It seems a bit rigid / stiff.
It will over time, but it will never be “squishy”. It’s memory foam which is intended to never deteriorate and always hold it’s shape unlike regular foam.
I’ve ran Michelins on my bikes for years. I bought a new street glide in December. I got 17000 miles out of the factory tires. I ran over a piece of metal while i was out of state and had to go with the stock tires again. I’m at about 24000 miles now (7000) on the new tires and they look like new. Not sure what the difference is between our experiences. My bike makes 134 torque and 127 hp and I ride it pretty hard. I’m kind of confused by all the negative press I hear about the stock tires on RUclips.
Hey Jess sorry i perhaps should have worded it differently ... like well with a hurricane that just pasted and another big one a common i think postponement is in order... something like lol
I love flying, but if I had the choice, then ROAD TRIP wins every time. Don't do it in one day, split it up and enjoy the ride. Re-the tyres, those that incurred "humming" and "wobbles" is usually either poor fitment or low pressures.
I run Michelin on all my other bikes and cars... but between reading about issues, and a decent deal I got on AE for the Harley, I went Dunlop. Maybe next time?
You won't regret it, Jess mentioned it in a previous video. I ordered one for my bike and after inflating one almost flat Silverado tire topping off the other three, inflating an almost flat bike tire A couple times and topped off six more bike tires on one charge I ordered 2 more. And as Jess mentioned the battery hold a charge for a while when not in use. Love it!
Fuel goes off in 8 weeks, loses octane level. You have too many bikes, pick two to keep, that are both not baggers. I haven't ridden my bikes in 6 weeks, then I had a knee replacement :)

The best way of making up your mind how much for tickets to fly. Then how much for fuel And if don’t go your bike how are w going to get around whith out your bike

@1905flyer3 heck yeah!! Love to hear it!
The code only gave me about 10%. But bought it anyway because they took that off of the black friday price ! ! ($39.59) Thank you.
Hi Mrs Jess I think need to rotate your bikes every week keep them oils cycling 🚲!
I've been running the commander II tires for years. With how long they last get a lot of bang for your buck. Rode the pig trail, beartooth pass and other twistys. Through whole days of rain. love them had 1 set of 3s they were great too.

Same revelation i had with my Michelin Road 6 GTs, so far 11k miles and still have 50% tread life, bonus , they actually handle well in the wet
You might want to re think trip to Florida
Yep

Florida has one of highest # of motorcycle owners in the U.S. Its a shame many motorcycles will be damaged ruined with hurricane milton.
😮
I rarely charge my Fanatic. It holds a charge for a long time. I just ordered another one. That’s a good promo!
Nice vid Jess! Good to see ya!🥰👍👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

How did you get your seat heated?
Just ordered the Fanttik X9 thanks for the code.

I rarely charge my Fanatic. It holds a charge for a long time.
Caught a yellow jacket up in the sleeve of my jean jacket. It got me twice before I got it out. Still a little swollen and itchy. 😎
My ears perked up when you mentioned a Honda Shadow. That's my bike! 😂 I had to rewind the video 10 seconds. Take care!
Heard you mention the yellowjacket and had to wince. Just got stung twice in the neck a couple days ago. Still hurts.
Keep an eye on the weather Jess!
You need to follow hurricane Milton before heading to Florida. Better safe than sorry.
You might want to rethink riding that bike to Florida during this hurricane. haha. Beautiful bike
Nice video keep up the great work Her Two Wheels

No matter how you share the miles across multiple bikes, the maintenance cost remains the same.
You should ride and give more video content, as for us all really enjoy it.
Tuesday morning, I looking at the news, I hope you change your mind. This is the 8th of October be careful.
I am hoping the 100 degree weather finishes here in Phoenix.
Woof.
Fuel goes off in 8 weeks, loses octane level.
You have too many bikes, pick two to keep, that are both not baggers.

Though I'm in NYC, I'm gonna ride till there's salt or snow on the] road.
It will be interesting on how many miles u can put on ur tires
Yeah i’m excited to see how long they last
Commander 3's tours suck in the cold and rain
When you own more than one bike it's STA-Bil and Battery tenders..... you quickly figure out which bikes you ride most ...
Doesn’t the Road Glide have TPMS?
Yes. But it takes a few miles to give an accurate reading. So i always check pre ride when it’s been a while.
