I started watching season 2 and fucking hate everything about it… The characters their bonds, their buildup, their stories etc. Netflix f*cked up absolutely every single thing.

Lambert is the guy who’s outer shell is tough and bitter, but on the inside he’s soft and has a good heart. Eskel is the gentleman who does his best, not really getting much information other than him being an absolute doll. Geralt is the pretty boy who gets all the ladies while being honourable and fair.
I literally played this part of the game today and I realised, he does say different things in English, than he does in german. I mean obviously it has to be slightly different, bc of the translation, but not only that. I can't really give an example, but I find it cool. Oh, but what I did notice is the fact, that in German, they didn't get the drinking game right. Never have I ever. The translation is so awful at partsXD
I like that Eskel, while a bear of a Witcher clearly has no head for matching Geralt's wit, and gets easily flustered in conversation. He also takes things really literally and seems to not notice when Geralt is being sarcastic many times. You can imagine the same dynamic with the characters when younger. All this without ever having to beat you over the head with some kinda load screen character bio spelling it out. Great character writing.
Yes Eskel seems more serious, quiet and content one would think the work of a witcher fits him, being alone, not needing much. I would imagine it would take more than some taunts in bar to have Eskel sully the name of witchers
I love that this video has become us discussing how cute Eskel is when the devs probably didn't plan on that at all when they designed him haha. I would so love to see a game with him, or even him and Lambert teaming up. There seems to be a decent person under that prickly exterior.
Lambert is definitely not a bad guy. I feel his prickly exterior is a construct to protect him. If you pay close attention to him in the game he actually is the most passionate and emotional of the witchers you meet. I love Lamby almost as much as Eskel.
Honestly I really wish we had gotten faaaaar more time with Eskel and Lambert, especially Eskel, and less Yennefer which was shoehorned into the last game. Imo they are far more interesting characters. Also I love how all the comments on this video agree with how cute Eskel is :D

I can see the next witcher games we play as eskel.. That is better off rather than we play as ciri in my opinion.. We will once again feels what is like to be a real witcher, once again.. The story also can be continued as where we left off without having any difficult creating one's.. We can set off to a new region in the books for example Zerrikania! That would be extremely cool! Letho would be there too if you don't fucked up his story in the previous games XD ( guess it will only be in my dreams )
Eskel is the only one who has no chance of dying in the game. Lambert can die if you kill Keira and don't save him during the KM battle. Lambert goes off with Keira if you do have her save him...but dear sweet Eskel goes off alone. Unfortunately CDPR said they aren't doing anymore witcher games which sucks bigtime.

Witcher 4 oughta be Eskel if you got the empress ciri ending. Just cause either Nilfgaard or Redania won the war doesn’t mean it’s over. If the empire won eskel could encounter more freedom fighters from Kaedwen, Aedirn, and lyria. If the Reds won, Eskel could encounter witch hunters attacking all magic users and herbalists. Witcher ciri ending could mean a ciri based game which I’d be really excited about. But a grounded, more basic Witcher like Eskel could be something new
Eskel is such a great character. I wish we got to see more of him. Maybe in any future game, we might. And even though Triss is in love with Geralt, I think she and Eskel would be great together. My opinion of witchers and sorceresses, at least in terms of couples: Geralt and Yennefer, Lambert and Keira, and Eskel and Triss.
In the 'Blood of Elves' book, although Triss has a huge crush on Geralt, there's bit where Eskel kisses her hand and she retracts it suddenly because she felt more warmth and tenderness from Eskel's embrace than Geralt's. Fun fact.

Gotta say tho, that enhanced dracoind oil is pretty clutch, I was especially struggling with draconids as contracts and as treasure gaurdians this oil helped me farm some change for my Griffin Armor's superior upgrade. All thanks to our homie Eskel.
This was classic as quests go at Kaer Morhen 😅. Gotta love Eskel ❤ (and a man who can make you laugh 🤣😂😆. And oh, wait, there are two of them!)! "Can't smell Eskel...", "...well, you've rounded out a bit, still got some of last year's blubber on you." "Speak for yourself, funny buddy." I don't quite recall that little bit of trading insults when I did this quest in my first playthrough 🤔

The Witcher season 2 SPOILERS It’s just such a waste of a character killing him off, what was the point? Not to mention, he wasn’t even portrayed like how Eskel is
Agreed, In any way it would have been better to have Billy-Bob the younger noobie witcher. They could have the same bond and backround talks where Billy is slacking from training and being careless. That would also have ended Geralt to decide to train Ciri. For show watchers it would make much difference but for game fans it feels like a slap to face to have fan favorite first be a douce and then dying. Recalls and eastereggs should be a net positive not negative ones
