I remember when the quest ended, and this song played. I walked all over RS just listening to it, wondering what was going to happen now that Guthix was gone. What a long trip it's been.
Stumbling out of that cave, numb, knowing the world that you left when you entered was gone forever. The Edicts, which bubbled the world away from forces great and unknown, had fallen, along with their creator. You, who feel so unworthy, so unprepared, have been named as the World's new Guardian; a task where the most powerful god in history had failed. Word would spread, fast, and millennia-old plans across each of the worlds have already set into motion. The old game of the God Wars nearly tore the world apart, but now, a new game had just begun.
I did thia quest for the special abilities and ended up feeling a bigger reward from this song at the end plus i was a little heartbroken cause guthix was my favorite side
A Beautiful ending song to a Beautiful quest, what would have made this sound more awesome is if there was a credits roll right at the end of the quest, I couldn't think of a more befitting way to have ended the fifth age.
Ah several years after the quest, this pops up in my recommended, i honestly love RS3 quests. Reprisal has been dealt and a few hour long maze is the annoyance left afterwards with hype for a new era of elder gods. Lets not forget a fictional character by the name of guthix, as the impact his story left is real
I used to diss anyone playing with sounds on and never had em on myself. Now quit but corona has brought me to watch some streams of rs again jesus christ this track is one of the most beautiful thing i've ever heard. I take back everything ive ever saie regarding rs sounds...
If I could describe the feeling this song gives me, it would be uncertainty, and I really think that's what they wanted to give the player after what happened. Guthix dies, the edicts are broken, and now the world is vulnerable again to the destruction the gods can wreak upon it for their own personal gain, and you're entrusted alone the power to resist them. Not only were your efforts in the quest in vain and the absolute worst outcome has happened, you're now assigned a duty that seems impossible to fulfill. Yet your character takes up that mantle, and with it comes the question and the concern for Gielinor's future; How? That's what this piece feels like; like all the carefree quests that you've done to make yourself grow stronger have come to an end, and now you must prepare it all.
I recently completed every main quest available so far, Sliske’s Endgame being my last struggle to conquer. This song still stands out strong against everything I have unlocked from questing.

Early Rs3 wasn't that bad, at least in terms of quests and music. But after about 2015 it got to where it is now kinda. Oh well, Rs had a good run and will always have a close place in my heart.
I just realized: While guthix sleeps, the world wakes.

This and hall of memories made me feel nostalgic for a time that did not exist. Fervently waiting for Guthix archeology
I'm still surprised that it's not a thing yet. I wonder how much Guthix knew about Gielinor and how things were in the first age.
Did Guthix Archeology come out?
@@rugs4lifenop, just lore
The world woke,
As he slept.
Will always miss you, G.
This is truly one of the best more modern day RuneScape tracks.
I can't describe the feeling... this track just speaks to my very soul, it's one of those emotive tracks that linger for a long long time :)

This song is a mix of emotions:you feel melancholic and sad,but at the same time you feel hope and happiness
balanced
Guthix

Like how Minecraft did for The End?

Never turn the music off in games.

Lol didn't mean to get too poetic about it, sorry about that.
The quest was rly interesting. Chose this as my very first grandmaster quest. did it tonight

Still such a great ambient track. I wonder if the Runescape narrative will ever top this quest again in terms of narrative strength and emotion.
I'm going to finish it, once and for all. I shall banish every single god from gielinor..and then...maybe I can be allowed to remember you...Guthix.
poor guthix may he rest in peace
Still my favourite quest
same ❤️ the best quest ever and so sad 😢
Nice and relaxing. Perfect balance.
IMO this the best they could've made when it comes to a little bit of chill ya know.
