Alright locals!!! What did I miss?
Great video, especially the red light info. People run red lights like crazy here
@@mlradcliffe3955 thank you, and yes, some of these drivers around here are crazy!
The first Mardi Gras took place on March 3, 1699, when French explorers Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville and Sieur de Bienville landed near present-day New Orleans, Louisiana. They held a small celebration and dubbed the spot Point du Mardi Gras.
New Orleans did not host the first organized Mardi Gras parade, however. That distinction goes to the city of Mobile, Alabama, which organized its first Mardi Gras parade in 1703, a year after the city’s founding.
I’ve never heard this. Interesting… Thank you for sharing.
@@livinginmobile After I moved here from overseas, I was intrigued to hear contrasting views on the topic Mard Grad. This piqued my curiosity and led me to delve into historical research. My opinion is that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. ;-)
You forgot about the LSU fans in Mobile. There’s a bunch of us and a 3rd choice.
Yes, lots of LSU fans in Mobile, that is for sure!
