Very impressed with the Prime stream, love how they left the natural crowd and goal horn volume in unlike other broadcasts. The cherry on top would be to have Joe Bowen on for Prime Leafs games.
@jadenippersiel912 I wish Bowen and Ralph did every game on TV. Best duo in hockey play by play imo. Sometimes, I listen to the radio with the TV on mute, lol.
@TheTaoZun the leafs were fast and forechecked all night. Our goalie was better than tampas. Our special teams were clicking and tampas was dry. I'm sure it will be a better game next time. Nick Paul turns into an all star when he comes to Toronto. He always scores.
@commissioner1969 Technically, he didn't score tonight. It was a Benoit own goal. Never understood why the NHL credits players when they don't actually score. Soccer does it right.
Nobody is talking about that 5 on 3 pk. Honestly the best penalty kill I've seen from the Leafs in a long time. Tanev is exactly what we needed a guy who can help stop the damn puck. Lets just hope he stays healthy.
Lightning have been trash on PPs all season, as soon as it happened, us Lightning fans knew we weren't scoring. We're lucky we got one to go tonight. Long season, and you don't just replace a living legend immediately.
Tampa’s the best team they played just had a good night and Vasilevsky didn’t. Also the style of play the Leafs have had this year seemed to neutralize Tampa’s usually stellar offense, next game will be a war
It's really too bad about the shaky officiating. The 5 on 3 was just bad, but the handpass miss sucked too. Just plain bad call. Still good win for the Leafs. This time up against a really good goalie they got the offense sorted out. They've played well throughout the season. If Woll plays tomorrow good luck to him.
Normally I don't complain about the officiating because bad calls happen to every team, but tonight it was atrocious. Imagine it was a playoff game and the Leafs lost. There would be rioting in the city.
@@hottuna2006 Crying about refs in a game that had multiple missed calls for the Lightning too is crazy. The refs weren't good for either team tonight.
On the hand pass topic. Looked like he was about to go backhand/forehand for his own shot, but then turned it into a little push pass All in all, good work Leafs. It's not often Vasy gets pulled
Since the NHL doesn't have "own goals" like soccer, it's because Nick Paul was the last Tampa Bay player to touch the puck before it went into the net and he got the puck via Chaffee and Hedman.
Had some 'Where is Stamkos?' chants in the arena after that 2nd-3rd period power play ended. Didn't make it onto the broadcast too well, but tons of fun.
At least we could hear the crowd on the broadcast for once. Finally made it seem like the there were living, breathing fans in Scotiabank Arena instead of the silent, morgue-like atmosphere we usually get. Whoever is mic'ing up the arena for TSN and Sportsnet needs to get canned.
Cause those games are the Canadian broadcasts sub-licensed to Amazon through Rogers. We still have to use ESPN+ or NHL Network (if it’s a game they carry for that night) in the States
I just want them to do well in the playoffs. They have to keep the mindset of win at all costs and playing in a system. Their mindset must be the Stanley Cup or die trying.
Yeah, his contract is going to be what sinks them the most, he’d be just fine if they had a 1A 1B tandem, no they just play Vasy till the wheels fall off each season.
Good bye Tampa. I think it's time to find a new goalie. Whatever magic Vaselevsky had during those cup runs is gone. They'll get they're lunch handed to them in Jersy tomorrow night.

@jadenipplehead no true hockey fan wants games being broadcast on subscriber only platforms...
@greenfinger8690 basic cable is basically a subscription service, too. But I get your point.
To anyone who didn't watch this game, it was a shooting gallery for the leafs.
was on nhln and i didnt get to watch it. as a lightning fan i need to know what the hell happened here
@TheTaoZun the leafs were fast and forechecked all night. Our goalie was better than tampas. Our special teams were clicking and tampas was dry. I'm sure it will be a better game next time. Nick Paul turns into an all star when he comes to Toronto. He always scores.
Shesty wasn't the goaltender this time...😮😮😮😮 😅😂
@commissioner1969 Technically, he didn't score tonight. It was a Benoit own goal. Never understood why the NHL credits players when they don't actually score. Soccer does it right.
@chrisg1556 I agree they should bring own goals into hockey.
Although the Holmberg non-goal at the end didn’t matter, it’s a bit concerning that you can’t challenge for a goal waived off for a hand pass.
I don't know that they could challenge there. You can challenge for a missed stoppage, not sure he could challenge that one being waved off.
Yeah. It's especially stupid because if it was a hand pass and the goal counted, it would've been reviewable.
IMHO every play that involves a goal should be reviewable
@@Roller11111 You're using logic. Something the NHL doesn't use.
Everyone who shit talked the OEL signing owes him an apology
I think that was exclusively Canucks fans 😂
You're welcome.
Apparently you just don’t give him $8 million and he’ll be a solid defenseman
@@seanragsdale5636mind you that was Arizona who gave the contract - you just don't trade for it afterwards 😅
@@BestSomebodyNAI mean he wasn’t great in Arizona after signing that contract either
That eng being disallowed for a hand pass that wasn't actually a hand pass was rough, but Toronto looked great. Stolarz was a hell of a signing!
Everyone take a moment for Shannon with the 16 game slate tomorrow 😂

Tanevs a beauty of a d man but his style of game tends to him always getting injured

Long season, and you don't just replace a living legend immediately.
Notice how Cooper kept the goalie in after that hand pass goal………. The code.
damn, good catch
holy instant video
A solo Leaf vid for a win? A good night indeed
Great game by Toronto. Not so great game by Vasilevskiy. Go! Leafs, Go!
Great game from the leafs. People hating on tampa? Nonsense they played great the leafa were just crazy good tonight
Tampa’s the best team they played just had a good night and Vasilevsky didn’t. Also the style of play the Leafs have had this year seemed to neutralize Tampa’s usually stellar offense, next game will be a war
Tampa wasn't bad and they played fine. Leafs played great and Vasy stunk.
"The ref was informed he sucks" 😂😂😂
it was an enjoyable game to watch.
Stolarz trying to take Woll's job and very well might be the starter even when Woll returns
@leviklynstra8975 he is. He's got Berube's and the teams' trust. Stolarz is 1A, and Woll is 1B, at least for now. Season is still young.
Woll's going to be under pressure tomorrow.
Thanks, Shannon. Glad to see an NHL jersey in the review. Stick to your guns, young man!
Leafs have yet to allow more than 2 goals in a game if you exclude the 2 empty netters against the rangers. Pretty impressive
I don't get heart palpitations anymore when the Leafs are playing with the lead in the third. I enjoy this feeling.
Hopefully we’ll tune in? I think we’re all massively excited to see your review ❤
Tampa is 3-2, not 4-2.
Toronto couldn't challenge the empty netter because the ref called it no goal, if he called it a goal, they could have looked at the replay.
It's really too bad about the shaky officiating. The 5 on 3 was just bad, but the handpass miss sucked too. Just plain bad call.

The calm before the storm
Woll will be relegated to backup. Stolartz is an exceptional goalie. very easily could have had a shutout.
Woll SHOULD be relegated to backup. Who knows. If Woll plays well, who knows. At that point they should play an equal number of games.
The difference between the rangers game and this one was stark for the leafs, just hope the consistency stays
On the hand pass topic.

This was on cable for me actually… in ca
It was on center ice in the states so I switched back and forth with MNF. Though that game was a dog too. Nylander had a nice night.
I didn't bother attempting to watch it so this video is how I'm finding out how it went.
Not sure how Hedman and Chaffer got assists on that goal by Paul considering it was saved and Bennoit dragged it into the net himself.
Since the NHL doesn't have "own goals" like soccer, it's because Nick Paul was the last Tampa Bay player to touch the puck before it went into the net and he got the puck via Chaffee and Hedman.
Tampa got owned, best game by the Leafs so far this season.

Cause those games are the Canadian broadcasts sub-licensed to Amazon through Rogers. We still have to use ESPN+ or NHL Network (if it’s a game they carry for that night) in the States
It's canada only. Every Monday, a Canadian team will have their game on prime. Next week, it's Toronto vs. Winnipeg
Forgot to mention. You could just use a VPN. It works with every other streaming service. I would assume it works with Prime, too.
Great video
The Leafs!
tampa is 3-2 after this game, not 4-2
Don’t look now, but the Leafs may be for real!
Until the playoffs.
As a Leafs fan shhhh don't jinx it
We will see tomorrow, back to backs against worse teams is our weakness
I just want them to do well in the playoffs. They have to keep the mindset of win at all costs and playing in a system. Their mindset must be the Stanley Cup or die trying.
I'm a Leafs fan and I say this with the utmost respect: Shut your damn mouth.
Vasy's falloff might be on par with Matt Murray's if it keeps going at this rate.
Yeah, his contract is going to be what sinks them the most, he’d be just fine if they had a 1A 1B tandem, no they just play Vasy till the wheels fall off each season.
The candles that burns twice as bright last half as long, unfortunately.
