Dr Louis Henry Gates did the deep dive of her ancestry and was also somewhat shocked she was right about having no European ancestry. She pretty much know them Mississippi genes.
Wow, Oprah should be happy there appear to be no European blood. This may mean the Black women in her family had not been abused by a white master. She's blessed to have almost 100% African blood from the original God sent people. Unfortunately, some of us dont get it bc we have so much self-hatred. But kudos to Oprah. Stay blessed.
I saw a video where Taraji admitted that she was forced to do a photo shoot with Oparah to make it seem that everything was alright during the promotion of the movie, but for the most part, she complained about that Oprah's unfair treatment and low-ball payment for her role in The Color Purple.

It is possible that Oprah may have European ancestry or maybe not. Everyone inherits 50% of the DNA from each parent. If either of her parents had any European ancestry, she may have just not inherited any of it. My cousin said she had no European ancestry which is not true because I show as having European ancestry and we share a maternal line which had European ancestry. I also show as having 5% South African ancestry.
This is true. Although my DNA results showed that I do not have any Native American ancestry. My fathers does so I did not inherit any part of the percentage that he inherited.
There are Black Americans that don't have European ancestry. If all of us were that mixed, we would look like Spaniards and we don't overall. How you do think we maintained most of our African genotype ..the unmixed populations.

Oh how I like! I knew some things about Oprah! I knew Oprah's before Jeffrey. He was a close friend of a friend. Oprah's sister name Patricia who passed some years ago. Well that sister of Oprah's went to the same church 💒, as my sister. Her sister Patricia funeral ⚱️ was at the church 💒. But my sister didn't go the funeral because she had a appointment for a job interview. The funeral was on the news on TV 📺. They showed Oprah and I think Stedman before they went inside the church 💒. And I found out after Oprah about her other sister name Pat. I think 🤔💭💬 it was on the news on TV 📺. Thank you for posting. God bless you.
The fact that my family is closely related to her and will never be acknowledged as being apart of the tree is interesting to me. My aunts, and grandmothers look like her.
Interesting didn’t know she had ties to the Gullah culture . I’m from Charleston,Sc and Gullah Geechie known here and we do have a different accent than those from other parts of South Carolina

Some people have felt that she was a Uncle Tom type of black woman. These people need to shut up! But of course they won't. The trans Atlantic slave trade came from Europe into the Americas because they were getting rid of the Old Regime that was ruling at that time...this was a huge family fight over The Throne of England...We are the Original English Anglo Saxon Libyan Berbers extending back to the House of Wessex under King Alfred the Great....but we are also the Algonquian Mississippi mound builders....our history overlaps tremendously and I am happy to help put the puzzle pieces together

Oprah lived with her father in Nashville when her mom was pregnant with that sister. By the time she reconnected with her mom in Wisconsin, her mother had already put up the baby for adoption. Oprah never knew her mom was pregnant.
People need to stop the campaign against Oprah she's made her money and she can do with it what ever she wants, she's helped so many people having hard times because she's a black woman, people are stupid, stop l think it's ugly and ignorant to discuss Oprah,s wealth and what she decides to do with it, just an black American ❤
