Top tip, always open the fill plug first. If the fill plug is seized, you won't be able to put fluid back in it after you drained it. 👍 Keep it up love the videos and the positive attitude!
Hey Robbie I have a question pls answer it if you see it but I have a BK1 genesis coupe too, It also has a open diff, basically I’m just wondering does welding the diff really ruin the drivability of the car by making it not able to turn out of normal parking spaces? or just turn and do normal car stuff like that?

Also I think I watched the exact same tutorial where he put the gloves on the diff after welding! Think I may struggle with out a lift and doing it on my own but I’m gunna full send it
This is by no means a tutorial on how to weld your diff nor should you if you ever want to turn a corner on pavement. If he daily drives it like stated it will break. Not if but when. Cast needs to be preheated with a torch then cooled slowly (not with a glove) usually a kiln and stepped down in temp to prevent cracking/breaking. I've seen guys wrap parts in fire blankets and throw them in a cooler or dig a hole in the sand and wrap then bury the part to hold in the heat. Remember he opened with "I don't know what I'm doing here"
Good job with Jenny and getting her set up to go drifting also on being a good neighbor cause I know how hard it is not to keep on going with the tire roasting.

Pro Tip. When draining a gearbox diff etc, remove the fill plug first. A. It helps it drain better and B. If it rounds off/breaks at least the oil is still in it so the car can still be used if necessary
I need help, I have a 1993 BMW 740i and the other day I moved it, and parked it just outside my garage, later I went too move it back in, I put it in drive to get it in a better angle, then I tried too put it in reverse, but the shifter was stuck in drive.. Although previously it was getting harder to move the shifter, please help...

Hey Robbie just a tip all plumbing bolts such as drain plugs are tapered so they come out fairly easy

robbie please get a BK2 timing chain before the motor goes kaboom. the BK1 tc tends to snap or skip at high rpm. trust me, just do it😂
Sounds like running low wire speed or amperage, play with the settings & it'll weld way better !
Dont forget to change the diff oil after driving it a bit, it helps clean out all the splatter from welding
