I went from a manual Lancer to an Auto FRS, for a few reasons (have to teach my son to drive, buying the auto saved me like $10k not kidding, etc). The auto is very good in this, it apparently shares a lot in common with the Lexus LFA, that’s why it shifts so fast. Very good transmission, just drive whatever you feel like driving. Sometimes I buy manual, sometimes auto, just depends how I’m feeling and how the car functions. But this auto is very good I’m not disappointed in the slightest. Great video.
Nice video for a first RUclips video, wow! I’ve had a 2017 since Oct. 2016 that I mainly use to commute to school, and it is true that it always leaves a smile on your face!
Seems I found a good vid and good reviews on the auto here...am about to try out a 2019 brz auto during my vacation before winter sets-in and if its as good as every says;) its gonna become my 3 seasons car come spring...too much snow in winter:(
Where do you work to afford these /: I’ve been wanting one I just don’t have the money and I’m currently going to college right now but I wanna drive up in this!!
Keep staying in college bro. Once you graduate you would be able to afford it with your own money. I just graduated this year and just got the 2020 brz. It is awesome
@@kirauno thanks bro I currently got dropped from my scholarship because I fell .5 seconds short on my 40 yard dash time but I’m trying in February to get a full ride else where again been training all year💯
I have the same issue with the audio volume drops. It doesn't do it on all inputs. The head unit will be replaced soon, perhaps this summer with something with CarPlay/Android Auto. Otherwise, it is a great car.
Hey Ted Boggs! Just uploaded a video of my new car that fixes this issue! I’ll be doing a future video on how it is much better than the old infotainment system!
Nicely done. I actually had to get rid on 2017 BRZ Manual recently. A bad back now has me driving a 2018 Legacy Limited. I miss the steering and handling of the BRZ, but I am not in constant pain due to the firm suspension when I drive any more. Either way, enjoy your new ride!
It's neither interesting nor informative in any way but boring to see YOU during almost the whole video. You could save your camera without loosing quality.
Hey Waste Nottingham I would like to think I explained my decision to help out other buyers who are wondering what it’s like to own an automatic BRZ. But I’m sure you’ll like the new video I just uploaded 👍
I went with the automatic as well. After driving both the manual and auto extensively, I decided that a clutch would irritate me with the BRZ as my daily (and only) car. The manual IS noticably quicker from a dead stop, but in this entirely momentum-based car, the bumper shifters don't cripple the experience for me. (Either way I'm getting torched by grandma's Town & Country). It's all personal preference - and as long as the owner is smiling, they made the right choice!
@@samchen5962 I'm glad you went with Automatic, reason because I only learned how to drive in Automatic. I've been driving for 7 years. I will eventually learn how to drive in manual. But I'm planning to get this car hopefully. And it's good to see that there's a review for automatic which is rare. And I've watched hundreds of videos. And researching all about this car and the Toyota 86. Do you recommend the Subaru or 86?

@@breckenbarnhardt8236 Unless you have carpal tunnel syndrome - very painful. I m extremely happy with my automatic. No regret over here.
@@Joolz1982 sorry, late reply. Absolutely !
You're a top dog. Cool you put in a year in your own BRZ. I appreciate your time and efforts.
Awesome bro! Proud of you, may it be the the first of many!
For the audio level going down, there is a feature you can turn off that automatically adjusts the volume while you are driving.
Andrew Shields Yeah I definitely gotta figure that out for the next driving and talking video. Thanks for the tip man!
Loved your video man.
Please make more videos would like to know more about an automatic BRZ. I hope to buy one someday.
BRZ, please take my 2013 wheels and fit the new 2017, they are sooo cool
Haha maybe I could just sell you my stock ones when I get aftermarket ones :D
Good video Chen , is it possible you can upload a video showing how to change the transmission oil/fluids? Think that be really helpful :)
good cotent here, I have a 2018 BRZ with the performance package and the wheels are 17 inches not 18 but they are half an inch wider than stock
Great informative video.
Fantastic Video! Love your car man.

Do you have an arm rest? Noticed your right arm was down. If so please drop a good link because it's ridiculous that there is none in the car!
Hey zach, I actually don’t have an arm rest. I just rest my arm on the edge of the cup holder/center section. I would like to invest in one though
Great video!

when they add a dual clutch auto i will cop this car
That would be cool to see. I would prob get one then too!
Not a dry dual clutch I hope 🤞🏾
what if I get a 2015 or 2016 model :(
Why automatic man!?
