I just found your channel today and also see you have a Facebook page. Honestly if you can some how you can market your antique equipment in north east. There crazy prices in north east here for antique tractors.

Main thing you need to know is height weight and width, many dealers or tractor sales people will tell you it's legal then when you measure they are wrong cause these people don't want to pay for permits, I have spent a lot of years doing oversized loads and dealers argue cause they want more profit

When they ship used cars from japan to Australia they have to remove the brakes and clutch as they could contain asbestos. Also the undercarriage needs to be washed as there cannot be any dirt. . Could contain bugs.

Shipping can be expensive no matter where in the world you are. International shipping can be a nightmare especially when it's used equipment. I worked in International Air and Sea shipping here in Australia for 7 years even with all the resources of a major international company things can be messy, expensive and difficult and that's before you throw in things like fumigation, steam cleaning, certification and local import tariffs and tax's.

Shipping is always fun. I work at a CaseIH dealership and we do a lot of tillage stuff. I have a broker buddy I call and I have got a lot of things out of the Midwest. Had to get some Great Plains drills from Salina etc. if you sell and buy farm equipment you will end up dealing with over size loads.

How is anything over 8' wide oversize when a normal semi trailer is 8 1/2' wide (102")?

I believe I misspoke there I think 8 ft wide is what we were going for and he was worried the tractor was going to be over 11 and we were just a little bit under so he was okay

Do you have any shipping companies you would recommend? I've gone through a couple different ones trying to get a 1066 from kearney Nebraska to loveland co, 350 miles and the cheapest I have been quoted was $2800. Problem with the 1066 is it is 3 inches to tall with a/c and cab to not be considered oversized. I'm tempted to just to drive it back but don't really want to. Does that sound like a fair price with it including permits to someone who has more experience in the matter?

Remove the ac and cab then not oversized, otherwise pay to get it hauled, the fine for getting caught with an oversized load is very expensive if not permitted

@@mikelembke5121 I've thought about just pulling the cabs. I just don't want the hassle of having to cut and splice electrical and heater hoses

Wow. Way too much hassle, unless you're so rich you don't care about the cost.
    I wouldn't bother.

Put the Ford in overdrive and drive it to Mexico. Can you imagine what kind of a trip that would be?
