  • It is currently day 182, and I am in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. It’s a very rugged and beautiful part of the trail. I believe I am only at day 151, on the videos that have been released.
I want to let you know of a change coming to the videos. I have decided, for the sake of finishing out this trail, and finishing it out well, to forego uploading any more videos until I have finished the trail. However, I will continue to capture the footage. I just need to step back from editing and uploading the videos on a daily basis, to be able to focus on the final month of the trail.
The videos should resume after I have summited, and once I have had a chance to start editing again. Which should be in early October.
I made this decision a few days ago, as I was entering the Whites, and realizing I need to focus. Along with the desire to experience the trail in a different way, perhaps without the obligation, or intention, to post daily videos. I do still enjoy the editing - it becomes a trip down memory lane, even from a few weeks ago - and a reminder of all the experiences and individual moments that I have had. But it does take up time. I would like to reserve some of that time to get in a different head space, and to experience the trail in a different way. With more focus and intention for this last month.
    Part Two of the announcement:
I would like to do a Q & A episode, where I answer any questions you may have about my hike. I will open up the comments in this episode for those types of questions. Some time in the following week or two, I will attempt to shoot a video answering those questions.
It has also been suggested that I do a Live - but I don’t know if I have the followership to do a live, since people have to be on at the same time. That is why I opted to do a Q&A.
I may do a Q&A after the trip as well.

Thanks for the update! I have been logging on each day hoping to watch your next video, so I'm glad to know why there haven't been any the past few days. It makes complete sense that you want to gain a different perspective in the last stretch. I can't imagine how much time it takes to post religiously. I hope you are having a great time and I look forward to watching the remainder of your videos.

Happy for you, but we will miss the posts. My question is, did you ever see the person who abandoned their pack, with the dated note?

@@Vagabondage2024 I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! I look forward to seeing the rest of your journey when you get around to posting it. Franklin and Bryson City faired well. There was some minor flooding but nothing like that to the east a bit. I only had 1 tree fall at the end of the road, so happy with that. They opened the Nantahala National Forest last week and I went out and cleared blow downs from Wesser Shelter to the NOC - there were about 12 but it’s better now (just 2/3 to step over/under). If you are ever in the area, please let me know and maybe we can go for a hike.
