And we're VoicePlayas! VP has been around since the 90's (long before PTX). The bass (Geoff Castellucci) and beatboxer (Laine Stein) are original members and have been singing together since middle school.
Welcome to VoicePlay Man! Pentatonics and HomeFree are good. VoicePlay is on another level man. You need to do "Nothing Else Matters" and "The Way you make me Feel" by VoicePlay!!
Voiceplay is amazing - they're fully independent. They are also the most theatrical and have the broadest genre range of all the groups. Thoroughly nice guys too!! 🌹🕊
What's good from them? EVERYTHING. Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! You truly can't go wrong with anything you find on their channel, which is why I usually recommend scrolling through their catalog and picking out songs that stand out to you. I find reactions are much more entertaining when you're reacting to songs that YOU know and have a connection to. That said, they are absolutely the Kings of Halloween, and with it being spooky month you'll find quite a lot in that genre if you'd like to start there (plus they have a new Halloween one dropping SOON!!!) Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer, also has his own solo channel that isn't acapella, and it's also absolutely worth checking out! Both VoicePlay and Geoff are awesome at putting all of the credit information in the descriptions of their videos, so if you ever have questions about who does what (spoiler: just about everything is done by them) that's where you'll want to look.
VoicePlay has many fans who daily seek out new reactions to their work. Subscribed for more reactions to VoicePlay, and hopefully Geoff's solo work. They are all fully independent and wonderful! Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer, arranged this one. Everyone has given you wonderful recommendations, but as they say, you can't go wrong with anything. Layne (beatboxer) and Geoff are founding members of the group (since 1997). Enjoy!
Welcome to the Voiceplay rabbit hole. They are an amazing group and the bass Geoff castellucci has his own channel where he does all kinds of covers. You can’t go wrong with anything you check but there Metallica cover of nothing else matters is amazing.
Welcome to the wonderful world of VoicePlay. Geoff Castellucci is the bass, has a 5-octave range and he has his own RUclips channel. I have subscribed to see more VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci reactions. VoicePlay is known as the theater kids of acapella. They love Halloween and release a new song every year for Halloween. VoicePlay was on the same season of The Sing Off with Home Free, and they have a video from the show of zombies vs hillbillies. For VoicePlay, I would recommend: "Drunken Sailor", "Nothing Else Matters", "In the Air Tonight", "Dream On", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Hellfire" and my favorite is "Valhalla Calling". For Geoff I would recommend: "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold", "I See Fire", "Song of Durin", "16 Tons", Jack's Lament" and "Ain't No Sunshine". No matter what song you choose, you will not go wrong. Enjoy the Rabbit Hole.
Welcome to the rabbit hole. #TheatreKidsOfAcapella. They cover everything from Metallica to Disney and more. Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci the bass has his own solo channel and does low bass covers. Hitting the subscribe for tons more VoicePlay and Geoff. Try them as Vikings in My Mother Told Me or Vahala Calling. It's a dealer's choice. You can't pick wrong with VoicePlay or Geoff.
Always my fav VP. There are so many good ones but this cover is still in my top 2, holding at #1. Thanks for reacting! You've got some good recommendations below, but have fun on the VP journey!
Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! I will always be here for reactions to VoicePlay and Geoff Castellucci (the bass in VP who also has a solo channel where he does all the vocals and instrumentation). Pick any video of theirs that sounds interesting to you. You can't really go wrong with any of their songs. 😊
Voiceplay are called the theater kids of acapella for good reason! They are also the Kings of Halloween and Disney. They just released "Be Prepared' (Lion King). With spooky season starting you're in for a fun ride - try any of their Nightmare Before Christmas covers. 'Hall of the Mountain King" and its sequel "Classical Chaos" are done without any lyrics and are absolutely mind blowing. But pick any genre and you'll find something to love. Geoff, the bass, has his own channel (not acapella) where he uses his unbelievable range to clone and harmonize with himself. His newest is the "Song of Durin". He also has great Halloween covers ; Monster Mash, Headless Horseman, Ghost Riders, Jack's Lament.
Thanks for your reaction! We are called "Voice Players" or "Voice Playas". Voice Play is very theatrical and are the kings of anything Halloween themed so I would recommend checking out their Halloween music.. They are good friends with the guys in Home Free and have a video of them together: "Survivor- Zombies VS Hillbillies".
Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbithole! Some other must-listens from these guys are Valhalla Calling, Nothing Else Matters, Seven Nation Army, Creep, and the seasonally appropriate Oogie Boogie's song, This Is Halloween and their new Halloween number for this year that should be dropping soon (keep an eye out for it, it's gonna be EPIC). But pick anything in their channel or their bass singer Geoff Castellucci's solo work and rest assured, it will be well worth your time. You just can't go wrong with these guys. Liked and subscribed, looking forward to more!
You're in good company - this broke a lot of reactors when they released it 3 years ago. I think you'd have fun listening to a completely different sea shanty from VoicePlay - What do we do with a Drunken Sailor. They took a ho-hum standard and transformed it into a gem.
People who like Pentatonix, are called Pentalholics. People who like Home Free, are called Home Fries. People who like VoicePlay, are called people. Nobody dislikes VoicePlay: there are only people love them, and people who don't know about them yet.
LOL your beautiful smile when that bass first hit you. The voices are amazing, all of them. VoicePlay's entire catalog is really strong. I suggest you just take a look and pick something that appeals to you. Enjoy your journey!
This is VoicePlay - we are VoicePlayas or VoicePlayers. Welcome to the rabbit hole that we all have fallen into. I listened to my first RUclips music 3 yrs ago when Geoff did a solo of Monster Mash which I remember from my childhood 60 yrs ago. I was hooked and went looking for another Geoff song - Hoist the Colours was it. Then Dragonborn Comes, Oogie Boogie's Song, Geoff's solo of the Headless Horseman. I needed more and found a list of over 800 songs/videos. Do consider Geoff's solo of Jack's Lament and Song of Durin (there are 2 others of the Hobbit) as well as VoicePlay's In the Hall of the Mountain King, Classical Chaos, Hide and Seek, Superstition, and their newest is Be Prepared.
Welcome as a new member of the Voiceplayer community. I love those very first reactions to Voiceplay. The stunning faces always make me laugh, no matter which song is the first the people react to.
They are the theater kids of Acapella the doing always go all in with theatrics, but when they do..wow! They're version of Nothing Else Matters got them an invitation to sing with Chicago last year, two nights with them in New Jersey. They are being considered for a Grammy nomination for their version of The Way You Make Me Feel. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff.
Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! It only gets better as you dig deeper. Try Warriors, Seven Nations Army, Dream On, Nothing Else Matters,, or Valhalla Calling....there are SO MANY, and they're all stellar!!!
Welcome to the wonderful world of VoicePlay! They are absolutely amazing. You should totally check out their versions of Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, The Dragonborn Comes, Oogie Boogies Song, Drunken Sailor, Seven Nation Army... Honestly, I could co on forever. I hope you'll have fun digging through their catalogue. =)
3 weeks?! We got a new reactor! \o/ Welcome to the Voiceplay family! They are awesome! Looking forward to more reactions from you :D I'll definitely subscribe to witness your spiral down the rabbithole that is Voiceplay! Geoff (the bass) also has a solo channel: Geoff Castellucci :) I recommend Hellfire, Oogie Boogie, and the 'trilogy' Dream On (yes, Aerosmith) ;) ) , Seven Nation Army and Warriors. Also Thriller (all Voiceplay)
They just did “ be prepared “ from the lion king , it’s a most listen ❤❤ I know they have a Halloween coming out but I’m not sure what the song will be , they always go all out with their videos 😁

This video has broken many reactors 😂 Edit: oh this is your first time listening to Voiceplay? Even better! I'd recommend other Voicemail videos: Be Prepared (just came out a couple of weeks ago), Hellfire, Oogie Boogie, Valhalla Calling.
Jesus is Lord and He loves YOU! :) Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their songs, they are all very well done. They do all of the production things in-house through the beatboxer, Layne and a former member, Tony's production company. I really enjoy their ACA top 10 countdowns and there is also Boybands in 5 Minutes and Queen in 5 Minutes which is very cool how they weaved them together. The ACA top 10 Movie Themes has Rob from Home Free, so that maybe one to watch. :)
