Thank you so much! This problem is so annoying and I've tried nearly every solution I could find online but it doesn't work. Finally, something actually worked
Thank you so much, I had a problem where my laptop would just turn on the red mute light and turn off the display but still running and your video only helped. Dropped a like. Much love
Thanks so much for sharing that info! I’ve been going crazy with this issue on my envy 16 and googling a lot. You’re the first person I found who offered a feasible solution. I really hope this works. How can I check it now to make sure it’s successfully sleeping? Previously it would get very hot when in sleep mode with the fans turning on momentarily each time to cool down. Should it really just sleep quietly and Cooley from now on?
It worked perfectly! Thank you so much! Also, your video is a pleasure to follow and what you say is all very useful. Im definitively subscribed after this.
I looked for various tutorials to fix this problem for 2 weeks, but this was the only one that worked, thank you buddy, because you took your time to help many people, I really appreciate it, thank you
I have been searching forums and videos for fixes. and I had this issue for the past 5 months, but this is the only one that works. Thanks a lot fixed my problem completely.
Worked on Windows 11! My issue was that my PC wouldn't automatically go to sleep after 10 minutes even though I had set it to do that. The screen would turn off after the fixed time. Thank you!
Muad'dib! Oh my fucking god I hated this bs so much, it annoyed me for maybe a full year but there wasn't a working solution except this you are a savior thanks I am so fucking happy
WOW! This problem drives me crazy! Thank you for this solution. This is really insulting it happened suddenly. I installed 2-3 apps last week without knowing, it screwed up the Sleep command. I will reinstalled each of them to know which one have this change without my approval. We should see this option in the Windows settings by default. Hiding this kind of functionality is absurd!
Hi, first of all, great video and explaination very clear, but my problem still remains, if i push the sleep button on my keyboard everything is fine pc goes into sleep mode no problem, but if i wait the set time on the power plan then it only shut off the screen and everything else keeps running, can you help please?
Fix 2. Press win+R, enter and run "regedit" to open the registry Find this value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power Look for value in the right-side pan: AwayModeEnabled Double click on it and Change the value to: 0
Thanks, windows update broke everything a while ago and I couldn't figure out what was going on, thought it might be a virus keeping the pc running for some reason, glad to have it fixed! One small issue though, I could barely hear you, I had to get my headphones out just to understand anything without my phone pressed to my head!
OMG! My computer sleeps like a BABY! Thank you so much for your help, I've had this problem for a little over a year. I am a college student so I have a lot of work on my computer that I don't want to lose so putting my computer in sleep mode is a must. This deserved a sub man, Thank you again. I really appreciate it.
Will this help if I manually try to put my PC in sleep mode and it’s a gaming PC so all my RGB stays on and keyboard. The only thing that turns off is display monitor. Then when I try to wake it a random gaming app will be open? So strange.
I have a similar issue on win10, but instead of being able to bring it back by pressing buttons or moving the mouse, I can't bring it back again. The lights and fans are still working, the screen is black, but when I press buttons, nothing happens. If I press the PC's power button, it then completely shuts down the PC, and when I start it again, it's like a fresh start.
After doing everything you mentioned it didn’t work, however after I turned screen to (never) it worked! I don’t understand why is it like that? Can you enlighten me?
I can’t believe this actually worked!!! Thank you so much. I was having this problem with my laptop and because of that my battery used to ran out everytime. You salved my life, bro
Holy SHIT IT WORKED! I updated my windows 10 (fuck windows 11 for multiple issues) and something weird happened where these settings turned one, I've had this happen before but it randomly fixed itself but this is an ACTUAL fix that makes sense. Thank you SO much bro!
*Mine is windows 11 and it never goes to sleep. Once it goes to sleep then after sometime it wakes up and never goes back to sleep unless the battery is totally drained. Please help me. i am not able to get solution past 3 months.*
Thank you for the video, I did as instructed and it helped me by going to sleep perfectly for the first few times but after a few days it has gone back to the same problem of starting to go into sleep mode but getting stuck which means I then have to force power down the machine. I've checked the same reg edit settings and the power sleep settings and they're still the same as when I changed them. Not sure what to do now! Thanks for any help you can offer....
Ugh it did not work for me. New computer build. Sleep mode does work if I enable ErP in the BIOS though. I think it may be staying awake from the Thermaltake cpu cooler LCD screen that plugs into usb, but just a hunch
Thank you so much! This fixed my problem. Now I can use S3 standby via the power key again!.... This was a weird one. I wonder how this setting got changed in the first place. Standby worked fine up until today :/
Thanks for the video, but unfortunately this method didn't help either. Also, after pressing the sleep button, the screen turns off and I have to turn off the laptop manually. Also, when I activate the sleep time, instead of going to sleep, it is completely shut downs. Thank you if you can help
