I rarely fall for a game but this one easily made fall so easily! It is such an OUTSTANDING game! From the game play to the all the art designs incorporated make it feel an incredible and fun game to play. This game is just perfect! Period!
Future expansions should include a vanity themed set with Gaston, Mother Gothel, and Cruella as the villians and a conqueror themed set with Shan Yu, Governor Ratcliffe, and The Horned King.
Me and my girlfriend randomly picked up the Wicked to the Core expansion the other day on a whim, and have completely fallen in love with the game as a result. We ended up buying the main set and the other expansion the next day, and have been having a ton of fun trying out all the different match ups! Cant wait to see what's next, were really hoping for Shan Yu, Tamatoa, Mother Gothel and Cruella!

Worthington Foulfellow, alias Honest John. Some seem to be clamoring for the Coachman, but Honest John is the one who actually keeps getting Pinocchio in trouble, so that would be my pick if "Pinocchio" was represented here.

You knocked it out of the park with this one. Even before watching this video you could just tell from playing that your game is the result of talented, passionate people who truly wanted to achieve something great. A true labour of love, congratulations! Even your customer service is the best I've ever experienced. I had a broken marker and a damaged card in my set, just filled in a simple form and I got replacements sent to me for free within 2 weeks even though I live in Belgium. My mind was blown!
I bought the game for my wife and we fell in love with it. As a Greek i wanted Hades so i will hit the expansion for sure. I wish we see in the future Long John Silver he is such an underrated character, anti hero more than a villain, Shere Khan, Chernabog, Beauty and the Beast theme although Gaston was a forgettable villain but i love BEAST. Also there is some balance issues which would be good to have some official errata and some tweaking. In any case i love the game, art, mechanics,theme so i wish you guys the best for the future and my gratitude for the fun we have playing this game

I love this game and the expansions. This video is terrific--each of the designers mentions key successes of the final product. The artwork, the sculpting, the gameplay and the overall feel all work together to keep it a captivating experience.
This game is so good, I bought all the expansions. I bought the game for my daughter as well, so we could play together long distance. There is so much replay ability.

We really enjoyed your takes on Disney's villains, and with every successive expansion - when we became more and more convinced the designers MUST have peaked by now - you never ceased to amaze all the way up to the last expansion you made before your acquisition (my favorite villain is still Mother Gothel). The gorgeous artwork is the main reason I bought this game. Also, thanks to whoever designed the box so that it can still fit all the cards once they are all sleeved (got to protect the pretty artwork). Edit: Little thing like this is what separates great game from good games.
I love this game so much and can't wait to see more. Played it once a few years ago and loved it, and finally got my hands on all three this holiday and I've been obsessed. Always a huge Disney Villain fan. I will say I see a lot of suggestions from others that include villains from many properties Disney owns, but are outside the Disney Animated Canon. As much as those are good villains from good movies I honestly think Villainous should stick with just the Animated Canon for its villains as that's kind of what the Disney Villain label is all about. No Touchstone, no Pixar, no live-action. Preferably one would prioritize the traditionally animated films as the CG ones kind of don't mix well art-style-wise, but there are popular villains from the CG era that it would only be fair to at least consider. For my money, Gaston and Cruella are the only two left that HAVE to be in there no matter what. But me myself personally I would love to see Frollo, Shere Kahn, McLeach (Down Under is the superior Rescuers film in every way), and Madam Mim. Chernabog would be cool aesthetically but there's really too little to work with story/gameplay-wise (please feel free to prove me wrong - I would enjoy that immensely).
I absolutely love this game. I bought every expansion and I can't wait to see whats next. I did notice their favorite villains all were made by now except Oliver in company. I wonder if that's who we're going to see next? If they do make that next I know I will play it since my name is Oliver. I have noticed since I play a lot of 1 on 1 that the fate token doesn't get played as often which could give 1 player an advantage. I think the rules for fate should change for 1 on 1 that every other turn the fate gets passed or make it where if the player already has the fate token he or she could still be targeted.
I'm very excited to see what future expansions Prospero Hall comes out with. I have a few suggestions: I think there should be one expansion with Gaston, Frollo, and Gantu and another with Oogie Boogie, King Candy, and Ratcliffe. Then, they could try doing live action Disney movies: an expansion with MCP/Sark from Tron, Barbossa or Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Queen Narissa from Enchanted. Then, they could try out a Pixar themed expansion: Stinky Pete, Waternoose, and Syndrome (Syndrome would be a reaaaaally interesting one to do) Then, they could get a little weird and do ones with Disney's other brands: They could do a Star Wars themed set with the villains being Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and Chancellor Palpatine (basically they would be doing the story lines from episodes 1-3; i know this is a stretch though because it really seems like Palpatine is the overarching villain for all of the Star Wars movies) They could do a Marvel themed set; they could really milk this if they wanted to and do a lot of villains, but if they were to do just one set they would need to do the three Avengers villains: Thanos, Loki, and Ultron They could also do one based off of Fox properties, however I expect they would want to do ones that still feel Disney-ish. In which case they could do Prince Humperdinck (Princess Bride), Harry and Marv (Home Alone), and Cecil Fredericks (Night at the Museum). Of course, there are two other, more adult Fox movies that could also be interesting: Colonel Miles Quaritch (the military guy from Avatar [the movie with the blue people]) and Ash (from Alien; I know that the aliens are the main villains, but they're more like animals rather than a scheming villain; Ash, on the other hand, was manipulating things behind the crew's back in order to follow his orders; so players could play as him, but with the alien being an unpredictable ally). Finally, moving away from Disney entirely, they could do a Dreamworks expansion with the Fairy Godmother (Shrek), Tai Lung (Kung Fu Panda), and Drago Bludvist (How to Train Your Dragon)
Just picked up the 3rd expansion! I was wondering how you guys did playtesting and balancing! I think Clayton(tarzan) and Stromboli(Pinochio) would be cool. Also Shan You might sell well given the new movie release. Gantu (lilo&stitch) has a big following. Commander Rourke plot would be fun!

If you turned the Sanderson sisters in the Halloween town characters into cartoon form. So Calabar wins and the Sanderson sisters win by sucking the souls out of the children in Salem. This is honestly one of my favorite games, and every time I go to Target, I always stop by to see if there's a new expansion... and then immediately buy it if there is 😂 My friend owns the main game and she introduced me to it, so I've gifted all the expansions to her. At this point, she has every one except the Marvel ones (we figure that's a totally different game that we're not ready to relearn yet).
Doofinshmirtz, The Backson and... Madame Mim. All three would be fun and weird villains to play. I think the Backson would be sort of difficult to figure out, but would be really fun to play.
I have all the expansions and I love this game. Its amazing and unique...how about a new expansion with Gaston, teddy bear from toy story 4 and step mom from cinderella. Also how about villanious art work book. Totally would buy it :)

Hello ! I've got the French version of the game, and I think there's a mistake in the translation of the card "Snow White" and the Evil Queen's guide. They mention that if a player draw Snow White during a Fate action, he's forced to play her. But on the English version of the card, it isn't written anywhere...
En fait, il parait que c'est une correction faite par la version française et que la carte BLANCHE-NEIGE est bel et bien censée être jouée dès qu'elle est révélée, exactement comme pour la carte PETER PAN. Maintenant, pourquoi est-ce qu'ils ne corrigent toujours pas ça en VO ? Mystère. Il y a un truc un peu comme ça avec la carte REINE MOUSTORIA de la 2ème extension ("La fin est proche") où le texte français diffère du texte anglais. Ce changement était voulu par l'éditeur pour mieux équilibrer Ratigan mais j'ai cru comprendre qu'on va faire machine arrière et qu'on va avoir le même texte qu'en anglais par la suite, genre lors d'une ré-édition.
This game was great. I played it for the first time yesterday with my family and i was worried that certain villains had a much easier objective to achieve. Specifically Prince John. He simply needs to gain 20 points. Sounds easy and yet the person playing as Prince John still didn't win. In fact everyone at my table were pretty darn close to winning. Definitely plan on buying the game sometime along with the expansions
The only problem is that once Ursula have both itmes, she wins and there nothing to do to stop it, whereas you can block other "start your turn with" characters before the players next turn. I hope Gaston is in the next one. I already have ideas for what his board and cards would look like.

I have Disney card game I have work on for couple years. I finished a draft game in the beginning on 2019 and test play it. One year has past and I got good feed back for it and there is no ways to break the game that we can find. Do you have any advice with how to get it license and published to put out in stores?

This character may never happen, but I had to leave this comment now that Pixar is on the table. I just thought of this. Imagine if y'all did Evil Emperor Zurg, but not from Toy Story 2. Take the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon and bring that to the game. Plus in the movie/pilot episodes, Zurg has a straightforward goal: to claim the Uni-Mind and turn the rest of the galaxy evil. Zurg has enough ellies and stuff to make it work and likewise with Buzz and other heroes of Star Command. This may never happen but I think it would be cool. I just really like Zurg and I love Wayne Knight's portrayal. It's very over the top, but in the best way. In a very Saturday morning cartoon way.

Good question! The answer is yes. From the rulebook: "As long as you have the Fate Token, you may not be the target of a Fate action. However, the player with the Fate Token is still susceptible to Conditions and other card Abilities."
I'm absolutely in love with this game, that made me spend great moments. But something turns me sad : I met too much problems concerning the balancing. I generally found ways to win nearly always with some villains. Do you have some advices to give to me, in order to solve that issue ? (Otherwise, congratulations, Villainous is really a beautiful game, and I especially love the figurines)
My advice is to have tiers for villains. I'd only play easy ones against easy ones and hard ones against hard ones. Or don't play a villain until the others win.
As much as Nightmare is one of my favorite movies period (actually literally my second favorite and the only movie I truly know by heart), I actually think he would be out of place since he's not an Animated Canon villain. As a matter of fact, Nightmare was originally released under the Touchstone label and Disney didn't embrace it until a decade later when its cult fans started to grow up. So while I'm happy it's still out there, that it showed up in Kingdom Hearts and gets new recognition, it never was really a "Disney Movie" in the sense we think of it. Villainous should stick with the Animated Canon - for aesthetics if nothing else.
Don't worry, Scar along with Yzma and Professor Ratigon are coming in The Next expansion pack, coming out on August 3rd. The Pack is appropriately titled "Evil Comes Prepared."

You don't use the fate token in 2-3 players, only 4+.
Would love to see the Headless Horseman as a character. As a kid, the Adventures of Icabod Crane, stuck with me.

I have all the expansions and I love this game. Its amazing and unique...how about a new expansion with Gaston, teddy bear from toy story 4 and step mom from cinderella. Also how about villanious art work book. Totally would buy it :)

@@justinfracchia8866 Hi! We can help. The answer to your question is "No." You must defeat Basil again, while your Objective is to defeat him. Having defeated Basil previously doesn’t satisfy the new Objective.

I've got the French version of the game, and I think there's a mistake in the translation of the card "Snow White" and the Evil Queen's guide. They mention that if a player draw Snow White during a Fate action, he's forced to play her. But on the English version of the card, it isn't written anywhere...
En fait, il parait que c'est une correction faite par la version française et que la carte BLANCHE-NEIGE est bel et bien censée être jouée dès qu'elle est révélée, exactement comme pour la carte PETER PAN.
Maintenant, pourquoi est-ce qu'ils ne corrigent toujours pas ça en VO ? Mystère.
Il y a un truc un peu comme ça avec la carte REINE MOUSTORIA de la 2ème extension ("La fin est proche") où le texte français diffère du texte anglais. Ce changement était voulu par l'éditeur pour mieux équilibrer Ratigan mais j'ai cru comprendre qu'on va faire machine arrière et qu'on va avoir le même texte qu'en anglais par la suite, genre lors d'une ré-édition.

This game was great. I played it for the first time yesterday with my family and i was worried that certain villains had a much easier objective to achieve. Specifically Prince John. He simply needs to gain 20 points. Sounds easy and yet the person playing as Prince John still didn't win. In fact everyone at my table were pretty darn close to winning. Definitely plan on buying the game sometime along with the expansions
Great game, we love it. The balancing is sometimes off or sometimes awkward, but doesnt matter.
But why is the quality so good except for the vessel?

How come Frollo is still not a character in any expansion pack?
The only problem is that once Ursula have both itmes, she wins and there nothing to do to stop it, whereas you can block other "start your turn with" characters before the players next turn. I hope Gaston is in the next one. I already have ideas for what his board and cards would look like.
I would Love to see Bill Sykes from Oliver and Company to be in the 6th Disney Villainous Expansion!

I have Disney card game I have work on for couple years. I finished a draft game in the beginning on 2019 and test play it. One year has past and I got good feed back for it and there is no ways to break the game that we can find. Do you have any advice with how to get it license and published to put out in stores?
There's too much to put in one RUclips comment, but there are a lot of groups, communities, and forums that you can join that will have a lot of good advice regarding this. The main thing is keep moving forward and be passionate about your work. :)
why did you make Queen of Hearts so overpowered? everyone online unanimously agrees she could definitely use a slight nerf.
This character may never happen, but I had to leave this comment now that Pixar is on the table. I just thought of this. Imagine if y'all did Evil Emperor Zurg, but not from Toy Story 2. Take the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon and bring that to the game. Plus in the movie/pilot episodes, Zurg has a straightforward goal: to claim the Uni-Mind and turn the rest of the galaxy evil. Zurg has enough ellies and stuff to make it work and likewise with Buzz and other heroes of Star Command. This may never happen but I think it would be cool. I just really like Zurg and I love Wayne Knight's portrayal. It's very over the top, but in the best way. In a very Saturday morning cartoon way.

Good question! The answer is yes. From the rulebook:
"As long as you have the Fate Token, you may not be the target of a Fate action. However, the player with the Fate Token is still susceptible to Conditions and other card Abilities."

I'm absolutely in love with this game, that made me spend great moments. But something turns me sad : I met too much problems concerning the balancing. I generally found ways to win nearly always with some villains.
Do you have some advices to give to me, in order to solve that issue ?
(Otherwise, congratulations, Villainous is really a beautiful game, and I especially love the figurines)
My advice is to have tiers for villains. I'd only play easy ones against easy ones and hard ones against hard ones. Or don't play a villain until the others win.

He's a great character and would make an asset to the Villainous universe.
As much as Nightmare is one of my favorite movies period (actually literally my second favorite and the only movie I truly know by heart), I actually think he would be out of place since he's not an Animated Canon villain. As a matter of fact, Nightmare was originally released under the Touchstone label and Disney didn't embrace it until a decade later when its cult fans started to grow up. So while I'm happy it's still out there, that it showed up in Kingdom Hearts and gets new recognition, it never was really a "Disney Movie" in the sense we think of it. Villainous should stick with the Animated Canon - for aesthetics if nothing else.

in case you don't want to click the link, here was what i think should be in the next expansion:
Gaston (how has he not already been done? he's one of the most diabolical and flawed characters out there, even when given a second chance to live),
Oogie Boogie (the Nightmare Before Christmas franchise is still popular, artistically varied and has so many characters and possibilities), and
King Candy from Wreck-It-Ralph (beautiful landscapes, and who doesn't fondly remember Candy Land from when we were little? Younger and Older gamers alike would like King Candy as a villain... Plus he can transform into that giant insect thing potentially.
EDIT: Added "from wreck-it-ralph" to the subject line to clear up any possible confusion that i might be referencing a different game
