i do wish there could have been more interaction between victoria and 47, like if she could use her abilities to get 47 out of a jam and they take down jade and travis together like total badasses. but that may only be my preference. though let me just say, it's really refreshing to see that this ruthless killer also has a tender side. also let me just say david bateson sounds much more british than what i'm used to lol! i wasn't sure if he really was british considering that 47 sounded american but then there were certain words i picked up here and there that were pronounced slightly different. for instance, during one of the mission briefings when he said "warrant", he said like "WAHR-ent" instead of "WOR-ent". anyways, there my two cents, rant over lol
I personally did not like the way they shaped his character in Absolution. Throughout the franchise and even in Blood Money, 47 states that he can do whatever he is paid to do. And that was the point of his character. He was a killer. In order to make his character somewhat likable and justifiable, they made it such that his targets would be mob bosses, powerful people bending the law, terrorists, human traffickers etc. And that was what I best liked about his character. BTW, 47 would actually be of Chinese, Colombian, Austrian, Kazakhstani and Romanian origins. Relating him to a country or a citizenship would be a fallacy IMO.

But people who play the games aren't the target audience. Instead, it's the wider number of people who know it's a game and go, "Oh, a film based off a game. And it's full of action. That seems cool," that they're aiming for. And 'full of action' would translate to a lot of dicking around with stunts and scenes and shit that 55 year-old Bateson probably wouldn't be able to do as quickly to look 'cool'. That's not to say that he couldn't do physical performances like that or anything, but he's almost certainly less agile than someone much younger than him, which basically threw him completely out of the running before he was even in it as far as the film(s) go.

I can imagine the surprise danish kids get when they play a assassin game and hear the man who asks them to buy dairy products on tv tell them to shoot people.
i think hitman should go in tv series, like in every serie there is a target to kill and following mission, without any cgi but very well realistic approach. and it should be SILENT assassin, i want that feel of tension and adrenaline like in game, and no mercy it should be pretty brutal and raw because he is professional he dont feel sorry
maybe like CSI there is no storie just another day in hitmans life. and he should have some hobby like painting or pet animals(bird, fish, gekon, and stuff) The storie is already- he is killing and escaping.
That's the same thing though. Hiding in plain sight is basically stealth. It's about ensuring you aren't detected whether that's in plain sight or sticking to hiding places. So, by that definition, it was just as Hitman-esque as other Hitmans.
2's story, trying to be a normal human being, but being jaded by the death of a friend, might work. 2 does have the best story, if I'm remembering it correctly.
I feel that hitman is at his best when the game dosent focus on him but rather the pyschos and terrorists you must kill. In the absence of any information about him his mannerisms shine , for instance his voice and sterile look. Its not the "person" behind the concept of hitman that is interesting , its the concept of a calculating assassin thats interesting. I hope that IO focus more on villians. And for the love of sanity hitman blood money levels.
His story is awesome, maybe it's to complex somehow for you. He was a ruthless killer, then finds a clone of himself and kills him then kills his biological father, then tries to get away from all that and joins a church. A clone would have problems finding god, so he rescues the priest and then losing Diana is hard because she's all he had as a friend. Then sees a kid like him and he feels for her, I see a clone that's turning human.
18:56 Well, Mr. 47 in question is not a villain but an anti-villain, which is still an awesome type. I would think that 47 is probably the best archetype of anti-villainy, besides any other prime examples.

I feel that hitman is at his best when the game dosent focus on him but rather the pyschos and terrorists you must kill. In the absence of any information about him his mannerisms shine , for instance his voice and sterile look. Its not the "person" behind the concept of hitman that is interesting , its the concept of a calculating assassin thats interesting. I hope that IO focus more on villians. And for the love of sanity hitman blood money levels.
His story is awesome, maybe it's to complex somehow for you. He was a ruthless killer, then finds a clone of himself and kills him then kills his biological father, then tries to get away from all that and joins a church. A clone would have problems finding god, so he rescues the priest and then losing Diana is hard because she's all he had as a friend. Then sees a kid like him and he feels for her, I see a clone that's turning human.
David Bateson and Michael Ironside are some lovely voice actors!

18:56 Well, Mr. 47 in question is not a villain but an anti-villain, which is still an awesome type. I would think that 47 is probably the best archetype of anti-villainy, besides any other prime examples.
He is an actor, and Agent 47 is modeled after his face. So yeah, yes please!
Come to think of it, they really need to stage an event such as that. It wouldn't be complete without sound effects.
