But it’s hard to describe what it was like back then. The internet existed but it wasn’t like today. You went to a record store, you bought a cd (maybe even a tape for a while there) and you listened to the album as a whole as well. Especially that miseducation joint which was like a story with bits in between the tracks. And it was an experience in your car with your friends or at home or wherever. You didn’t have music on your phone, many people didn’t even have cell phones, but you had to have the physical medium to hear it. And those albums were the kind you played from the first track all the way through, you couldn’t bring yourself to turn it off or even skip around. The experience to listening to music has changed drastically.

I wasn't as old but still I'm from a place where we didn't really have internet at homes till mid 05-06 so I know what it was like to listen to cd's tapes cassettes and having to get music in specific ways. It is indeed totally different it's like the song or the album becomes your world when you listen to it, that's why to this day sometimes I tune into FM Radio because it gives me a little feeling of the past where you know some other people are listening to the same song as you at the same time. but yeah I wasn't a teenager back then but I know it was better..

But albums were absorbed differently in my opinion before the one track, able to get it instantly, kinda thing. It made the listening experience more special because you had to work for it or find it. Whereas now you can listen to anything in an instant. We could go on for days.
