The end result made me a little teary. Watching something so "well used" play so well after a little TLC. Wonder how many people learned to play from it :)
I see people in the UK posting all the time on social media: 'free piano - must be collected by the end of the week, otherwise it's going to the dump.' Presumably they no longer have the space for them if they haven't been used for a while, or they're clearing a house belonging to a deceased relative. I assume many of them aren't saved, which is a shame.
I am impressed at your piano moving set up. The large wheels on the dolly, the ramps, and the trailer with easy access. Much better how I have moved pianos in the past by getting my mates to help lift them into my van.
This was lovely to watch. In this disposable age, to see you breathe life back into that lovely instrument is really special. Last year I inherited a well looked-after 1904 Richard Lipp & Sons twin crown and play it for 1 to 2 hrs every day. It has a gorgeous tone and a lovely touch but isn't holding its tune so well any more. Makes me want to do a restoration of my own, but it could be a step too far for me. In any case, it really warms my heart to see you rescuing pre-loved pianos so they can continue to bring joy (and not become landfill). Warm regards from Sydney - Dave
I hear you and yes I have a really expensive spray gun but it is such a pain to clean it all up every time. Cans are so convenient and the rustoleum 2X paint is very good, especially for quick jobs like this. Appreciate your comments 😊

Yes, each hammer assembly needs to be removed. I just replace them all , if 5 are gone, they'll just keep breaking. The cord helps bring the hammer to the back check so aids repetition. To test, play a key with cord intact and cord broken very slowly, you'll see that key with broken cord is slow to return thus feels slightly lumpy to a player with higher skill level. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven.
