Hi jess, I like the way you whole heartedly accepted kerala culture. No complaints. Even its 0ur home when we visit kerala we tend to complaint about kerala😢
@@Gigi-q5t1o Thank you. Visiting Kerala over the years and now living here has shown me how welcoming people are. That has made accepting the culture a lot easier. Love it here!
@@jarvese1991 You are right, that’s pretty much it. I tend to reduce the amount of sugar as the bananas are quite sweet on its own. Sometimes I use a bit of jaggery for added sugar.
If you listen again I actually say “it is one of my husband’s favourite desserts” which is correct English. I’ll see if the auto captions picked it up correctly. PS: Last time I checked I only had one husband 😂
It does look like plantain but I assure you it’s a type of sweet banana locally known as “kaali pazham”. In some parts of Kerala they are known by other names.

He didn't offer you the banana bread nor the banana he plucked at the end. He is an eater. 😂

Try it with poovan , njalipoovan , chundilaan , ..etc
Thanks. I have made some already with the other varieties.
Very interesting. So ingredients are bananas, flour, eggs, milk. Thats it I guess. No sugar right? So I think its a good option.
