So glad to have stumbled upon this video Chuck & Paige! Love this place even though I’ve never heard of it! Love to be in places that’s not too crowded and this seaside village seems to be cool! I miss watching your present vlogs on Thailand since you’re in Texas right now…..Glad you’re enjoying yourselves there:) Cannot wait for you two to go back to the land of smiles 😊 😘
Another great video, such a windy day there but i'm loving this area. Prachuap looks beautiful but not touristy and more peaceful :) Thanks for sharing. ZinsWorld
Sorry the water was a bit rough for fishing, but good to see you could find time for a 'couple' of relaxing pitstops, no stress, great stuff. Loved that de-shelled coconut , never seen that before. And Chuck I didnt know you could get coconut water in Leo bottles ? LOL. Loved the cats, real cute. Great vlog buddy, very enjoyable.
Thanks heaps for a fantastic video don’t think there is no chance off going hungry in Thailand the veggies are fantastic fish are a bit small but you can push through thanks for the day take care daz
Really enjoyed the last few videos Chuck, that area is gorgeous! Many of the plants and flowers are identical to what we have growing in the Palm Springs desert area of So California. The first orange/yellow flower we call Mexican Bird of Paradise and they just love the heat and sunshine. It can be 120* and they grow like a weed, 10 - 12 ft.
Running; it's always too early or too late for it ;-)). Prachuap looks something between Krabi and Khao Lak (also Marine base with golf and turtles sanctuary, cheap bungalows on Thai Muang beach and stunning landscape at Khao Sok nature park)
Brilliant video Chuck, really looks like a cool place to holiday. Shame about your glasses Chuck, but wow couldn't believe the size of that fish....there's a meal right there hahaha
Another good video chuck! I love it by the sea and I too love a bit of fishing! Do you ever think you'll move near the sea yourself? Tho with your friends living there and cha am, you get there quite a bit. Best of both words!
I wished I were there living the Thailand life style. Soon enough though my wife and I will make the leap. We really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing Chuck. Is that coconut water really that good???? Lol!!!!!!!!!
Hi Chuck/Paige could you tell what are the Blue paths are they for walking/cycling that sort of thing not seen them before.another cracking clip keep up the good work
Hey Chuck -- have watched several of your videos, enjoy quite a bit. Have been married to a Singaporean lady for 26 years and counting :) And while Singapore & Thailand are exceedingly different places/cultures, I have noticed a few intriguing similarities. Just to mention ... those who give you grief are willingly ignorant SOBs imho.
6:33 "..is that moo in there? I mean pork"!! Excellent. Starting to think in Thai! It's funny when words spill out of your mouth without premeditation. My colleague's mother learned German as an adult, and then had a stroke. She lost the ability to speak English, but can still speak German. Learning a language obviously involves some deep changes.
Hi Chuck, it’s great you & Claus have vehicles to get around. I think that could be challenging for those without transportation to explore, especially if far from the path of hired transportation. Is it possible to rent one of those things similar to what Claus use to get around for a week? What do you recommend?
If you use a gimbal the video quality will improve. They don't cost much. You never worry about theft until AFTER you are robbed. You are visiting a resort area. Prevention isn't unwise. Three cheers for wind noise!
@@notime2bsad Thanks for the speedy reply. For sure it's tough. I guess what I'm wondering is would it be easier to live in a touristic area like Ao Nang or Hua Hin compared to a lesser-visited area like Prachuap or Cha-Am, which look pretty tranquil in your videos. In terms of not having anyone in the family who speaks Thai.
@@jclpo you can visit Thailand and live here with no Thai language skills but you are going to be frustrated a lot when you can't understand Thai ...tourist areas, like Hua His have more thais who have English skills but dealing with day to day business....shopping....government departments....buying gear from hardware stores....internet.....neighbours....etc........would be a nightmare for me if I didn't have my Thai wife to interpert for me.........best come for a month and see for yourself.........there are great apps also to learn basic Thai........good luck or as thais say...chokdee>>>>>>>>>>>
Learning Thai is not as difficult as people make out. Find a good teacher and interact with Thai people often. Learn a few new words every day. It’s certainly easier than Mandarin!
Chuck, I want to say thankyou for sharing your positive experiences living in Thailand. I first travelled to Thailand 5 years ago when I was 24 as a solo traveller. I was lucky enough to meet a monk who was studying his english PHd and travelled with him to many places in the esaan region and Northen Thailand, now I am engaged to his sister 😂. I have a good career in Australia and am working hard to retire early while all my friends are paying off crippling mortgages. Thankyou for all the advice.
I found that it's the tourist areas have less trust worthy people. There probably not Thai , most likely from other country's looking for easy money. I would put some tourists in there as well.
Absolutely a Beautiful Life Chuck

No time to be sad, and no reason either...
Thanks for sharing Chuck and Paige and Claus and Goong.

Thanks Robert. Guess now I don't have to worry about them anymore. Oh well.
If you have time, visit the military museum there. The very first wave of Japanese's navy invaded Thailand happened around there.
What a beautiful place , location
That looks like a nice place to live. I would be sitting on the pier with a cup of coffee. And fish all day.
Sound like an easy life.
He is the singer in the band Bodyslam.
Looks a beautiful part of the country, I meant to go there last visit but didn't make it. Next time.
Awesome try Texas rig with the shrimp or spinner baits thanks for the video

Will visit a lot I think. I don't want to ever settle down if I don't have to. I will do that while I am dead.
love the intro and song

For bicycling and jogging, Thanks Alan.
Like you Chuck, I've never used the safe in any hotel in Thailand.
Jimmy Berry Do you always carry valuables with you, cash/passport?
coconut water??? looks like beer to me,I like that. here at the apartment complex I keep my beer in coffee mugs when I am out side
Do you need a fishing license in Thailand like you would in America?
I would have gone to the market and bought a big fish, and said, ,
Look Hon, I got a big one. Haha

Yes those are for rent here too.
I recommend bicycles for here.

Just a quick question chuck have you fished for crocodile gar in Texas saw a documentary other day
I LIKED WHAT I COULD SEE BUT THE AUDIO WAS PRETTY BAD. IT LOOKED LIKE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE. I'M GONNA HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT.
Regarding safety: Lokk into city crime index for the world in google and you will find that Thailand is a safe place to stay.
You really fit a lot into that video, it was great. Did i hear you say you paid $2500 for a pair of sun glasses?
Thunder I sure hope he meant 2500 bhat. I’d be kicking my self it was $2500
If they were that much, i would have been going for a swim David.
Shades look better than the earlier once...Now u look like a proper FALANG in Thai...
Nice video! Anyone care to opine about living there without speaking Thai? How would that likely go?
Most Foreigners who live here can't speak Thai. Very difficult tonal language.

Your reading is getting good. I find it very helpful to be able to read, at least, a little bit. I'm not fluent at all, just menus, signs, etc.
Thanks and that was a my first year here. Still practicing
Chuck, when are you going to catch some fish lol?
Oy...you move camera to fast at 15:55 felt dizzy.
แว่นตาแพงมาก ;)

Sounds like good things happen to you for a reason. They can keep there things, I will enjoy Life. Thanks
I wonder if that's far enough south to make it worth worrying about Malaysian border insurgents. Cops get paid more to work down near the border.
Prachuap is as safe as it can be , and about 15 hours north of the Malay border
Yummy,
2500 dollar for glasses??????
I like this so hygiene,s
