As a Londoner, I also recommend going up the shard, visiting china town, and going to St Paul’s cathedral which you can also walk up for a fantastic view over London

I've been on the London Eye twice and it's kinda cool to see the city from above but that's literally it. In my opinion you won't miss something when you skip the London Eye even though it's 'the' tourist attraction. I thought the view from The Shard was way more impressive.

No1 rule don't talk loudly and behave obnoxiously in public, Londoners are very to themselves in public. Other than that enjoy. Also don't venture out of the middle of the city, your max should be Zone 2, anywhere else and its grey sad areas. Avoid places like Harrow, Walthamstow and Brent where its just a slum and depressing now. All the previous horrible areas where people might mention such as Hackney, Peckham and Brixton are gentrified now and are quite nice, so don't listen to them. All in all just stay in central London.
Some tips if you’re going soon: St James’s Park is much better than Hyde Park. Museums to visit: -Victoria and Albert Museum -Wallace Collection -Westminster Abbey -Grant museum of anatomy -Hunterian Museum -Tate Modern -Museum of London -British Museum AVOID THE NATURAL HISTORY AND SCIENCE MUSEUMS. I agree about the Nat. History museum, haven't been to the science one but if we agree on Nat. history then I'll take your word for Science. So many better ones and the British Museum is almost a holiday on its own.
I think Victoria and Albert Museum is worth mentioning, it’s also free. I would mention Emirates cable cars across the river near O2 Arena. Also Battersea Power Station, one new amazing recreation area near Battersea Park. I recommend it all.

I was in UK for 2 years and been to London 4 times ..mostly with friends. Believe me or not every time I found London Eye under maintenance so unable to see London with London Eye. I love visiting Southall and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir also commonly known as the Neasden Temple. As I am an Indian and Hindu this places attracted me much, I have spend many hours in search of this Temple so please ask for Neasden Temple. We can learn many things from British People and I seriously respect them for their manner, I have driven in UK as well in cities and on motorways, you don't believe how polite they are behind the wheels.... but to experience this one needs to stay few month in UK. Many people have asked me what to see in UK...? I reply them all just walk on any street or shopping/market places or go to any country side everything is beyond beautiful...
I love South Bank, especially in summer when there is a book market and many activities for everybody. Also, Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square are great places where you can see great street artists. And for perfect city view, I would recommend Sky Garden, it's free and the view is breathtaking! 😊
For London I suggest skipping the changing of the guard (so boring & hard to see) and do the tour inside Buckingham Palace instead. Do the guided tour of Westminster Abbey - you get into near where the throne is on this - and we should have added on afternoon tea at the House of Parliament after (one of the easier ways to see inside as a foreigner). Be aware that the Tower of London is only worth a few hours since they've taken away exhibits like the bloody tower & skip if anyone in your party struggles with stairs (they will only be able to see the jewels). Go to the chocolate cafe if in Harrods.

I’m Canadian and I live in Chelsea with my boyfriend. He’s taken me to every location on here. Another place I would checkout would be selfridges by the marble arch it’s a department store with a really beautiful restaurant called brasserie of light.

I walk everyday thru Prince Albert Bridge on my way to work, such a beauty at night when it's lighted and you can see from the distance aThe Chard', end of the bridge is Battersea park... I'm close to Harrods and Hyde Park, just walking distance from home...just lucky to be in the area where beatiful attractions are. National History museum and V&A are just 10 min walk away😍😍

Honestly, if you have a couple of hundred quid your prepared to spend. Get a merlin pass (the most expensive one). It will let you into every attraction on Southbank (right next to Big Ben). It’s a great week out (there are the London dungeons, Shreks adventure, sea life aquarium and the waxworks Madam Tussaurds.
London evolves quicker than anyone can imagine. Nobody can ever see the whole of London, or experience every street or attraction there is to see , because from one day to the next, London is forever changing.
Don't listen to people saying its not worth it- you can do 2 - 3 days of stuff that's better than being at home?! London has loads to see and a lot of the touristy stuff is close by so can be done in a day or 2 but there is more real London off the beaten track. Try Shoreditch or Hampstead for lunch and shopping. Have fun x

Dunno how you never put in Waterloo Bridge as it has the best view East & West of the river. Oxford Street the longest street, Regent's Park with Primrose Hill is far better than flat Hyde Park and also at certain parts of the year you can watch films sat on the square inside of Somerset House, as well in the summer they have a open day at the Free Mason's HQ in Long Acre Covent Garden.
To be honest, you can do all the famous sites in a couple of days. If you want really memorable trips, find the tours or do some research on lesser known places. London has endless places to explore where you can see British and world history and I mean 'endless', literally. You could never see it all in one lifetime. I live here and have wanted to do that for years but I've either been busy, ill or lazy. But your video has reminded me that I need to get on that.
I totally agree with you.. lived in London for 4 years.. explored the city every week and still haven't seen it all. No city in the world can match London's diversity.. except perhaps Buenos Aires.

Honestly, if you have a couple of hundred quid your prepared to spend. Get a merlin pass (the most expensive one). It will let you into every attraction on Southbank (right next to Big Ben). It’s a great week out (there are the London dungeons, Shreks adventure, sea life aquarium and the waxworks Madam Tussaurds.

Don't listen to people saying its not worth it- you can do 2 - 3 days of stuff that's better than being at home?! London has loads to see and a lot of the touristy stuff is close by so can be done in a day or 2 but there is more real London off the beaten track. Try Shoreditch or Hampstead for lunch and shopping. Have fun x

Dunno how you never put in Waterloo Bridge as it has the best view East & West of the river. Oxford Street the longest street, Regent's Park with Primrose Hill is far better than flat Hyde Park and also at certain parts of the year you can watch films sat on the square inside of Somerset House, as well in the summer they have a open day at the Free Mason's HQ in Long Acre Covent Garden.

Love London l was thr for one wk but outside London city called Milton Keynes. But we took da train from thr to Euston city, Oxford circus .Nice plc 👌

To be honest, you can do all the famous sites in a couple of days.
If you want really memorable trips, find the tours or do some research on lesser known places. London has endless places to explore where you can see British and world history and I mean 'endless', literally. You could never see it all in one lifetime.
I live here and have wanted to do that for years but I've either been busy, ill or lazy. But your video has reminded me that I need to get on that.
I totally agree with you.. lived in London for 4 years.. explored the city every week and still haven't seen it all. No city in the world can match London's diversity.. except perhaps Buenos Aires.
