Lovely! More please, especially as in all the clips I watch - trout, salmon, sea trout - seeing the moment of the take. One paricular congratulation to you - all of you wet your hands before touching a fish. So important, but nowadays so sadly missing from those who preach total Catch - and - Release. Thank you.

Good video. In north america the insects are a bit different but gnat, caddis, mosquito are common world wide. Dun flies are very common here in Canada, its usually what I imitate. Best advice i can give for selecting a good fly is pick what ever looks most like a real insect. Ive never managed to catch a fish on anything but black, white and yellowish flies.

Thank you so much for this beautiful and instructive video. You make it look so easy. I get a bit disheartened when I see trout rising everywhere and still fail to catch them, especially on the dry fly. Do you think the choice of fly is the reason? Lovely countryside, by the way.

Hi Martin, fly selection is important as frequently trout rising get preoccupied by a certain emerging or falling fly. Also the finer tippet you can use the better.

Again.. One handed releasing is a death sentence for most fish.
