What an incredible journey! I remember your crash, it was horrifying watching it. I admire your courage and mental and physical strength. I wish you all the best on your way back. Can’t wait to see you on top of the podium! 😉
You’re an inspiration for everyone out there in the world. The way you showed so much courage and determination to get back to where you are now is beyond imagination. You’re the strongest athlete I’ve ever met in my life and gonna look upto you forever!!!
Good stuff, I hope you're fully recovered now and ready to gain some places. I don't think I've ever seen someone with an injury as severe as yours to recover so quickly. You really are strong. Mye kjærlighet.
Kajsa, I can't bear to see the crash footage, but I love seeing the rest, thank you so much for letting us share in your recovery and come back. I look up to you so much.
You are amazing. I'm from Seattle but my parents grew up in Tønsberg and Fredrikstad which I visited often when I was younger and I have been following the Norwegian ski team for many years. Best of luck this season I'm sure you will do fantastic 🇧🇻
Greetings from Northern California and thank you so much for giving some of us non-athletes a little peek into what it takes to recover from such a horrific crash. I am not much of a sports fan in general, but alpine skiing is such a magical sport to watch, and I try to watch every race or at least as many as possible. Val di Fassa Super-G was such a hard race to watch with all the crashes, and yours was absolutely terrifying. I bet that, in addition to all the surgeries and complications from surgeries, a crash like this can leave a person with a PTSD-like experience that can take a lot of time to process and work through. I've always wondered what it must be like for an elite skier to have to race down the same track that he or she crashed on and sustained serious injuries that took a long time to heal. I also wonder about the off-piste projects and activities. During my own life challenges, I've rediscovered chess, and have started with serious chess study again. Seeing this amazing strength and resilience in skiers such as yourself makes me want to work harder on my chess skills. It's funny how that works, but seeing this video has been just so inspirational and motivating.
I remember watching TV and seeing you fall, I knew then you would take on a big task to recover, I have been there as well. Thank you for making this video us follow your road to recovery and I hope to ski with you someday.
Thank you for taking us with you on that journey! I'm happy to see you making progress in your recovery after that horrible crash! Good luck for the future, i'm really looking forward to seeing you skiing again! 🔥💪
I remember that crash and thinking thats not good... My sons a rugby player and going thru rehab on his back but nothing compared to your surgeries!! Glad to see that everything's going well
Thank you so much for sharing, just to let you know you encouraged me and motivated me , we have so similarity I have broke leg and i am on my forth surgery on 9th November 2021 , I had a bad fracture on my right leg , keep up the great work , you just inspire and I know everything will be ok and I can go back to my normal life and stronger than before I promise you that .
So before your crash you were more successful that then entire British ski team has ever been. I remember a couple of decades ago there was one British skier who got 8th in one race and that was the best ever result from any British skier. So congratulations on being better at skiing than the entire UK has ever been.
It’s impressive how you have the power and motivation to get back to racing after such a heavy crash. I remember watching it. It was scary. I wish you get back on World Cup slopes again and hopefully win many WC races.
I remember seeing your crash live on television with my mom. I've been following you on ig ever since. Its amazing to see how far you've come! Rooting for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻
5 surgeries, i hope you will not fall again too bad : if you have too much surgeries on the same leg, the risk is a neurological permanent trama i had this problem and since 10 yaers after an algodystrophy i walk almost like Dr House ! so have fun but be aware !
I think the curve after the jump was positioned too short a distance. You who went at high speed could not be able to follow the track drawn in that way. The people who draw the track sometimes pay little attention to the safety of the athletes.
The reason and the progression of your accident should be enough. I think nobody wants to see the horrible images after that. Regarding what the left ski did with your broken crus, it's pleasing that at least your nerves are intact. I wish that we are going to see you on a podium in Garmisch again but i am sure Alexander Aamodt Kilde is a good man and his advice ist the best. First of all I wish you wholeheartedly that things are looking up now and only feeling of success after all that you went through in the past months. I hope you don't return to the Fis-Alpine-Worldcup before you fully regained your strength, because i am sure another heavy injury would devastate you now. Even if the ski woldcup made progress in the subject safety it has become more dangerous for the athlets because of much faster changing conditions and because organizers work with more and more water and salt on the worldcup runs, especially in Garmisch, due to higher temperatures mostly caused by climate change. In my opinion, it is destructive for the alpine skiracing sport, when great young talents, who need to get their expierience, get punished like that for a simple fault. I hope mechatronic skibindings, which are already being fully developed and tested, are going to be ready for use at least for professional skiracers in a few years. Till then, please don't lean too much inside and stand consistent on the outer ski. All the best!
