    In this video, we cover how to create a building animation. Our goal is to animate the building as you see on HGTV shows where the building is dropped out of the sky. This involves animating each element or group of elements to achieve this. SPOILER ALERT: we are not completely successful. I wish I could say this could be done the way I wanted but that is not done that easily at this time.

    This was extremely helpful, if for no other reason, to see some limitations that the TwinMotion team can focus on improving. You went through a lot of work that helps other people by not having to repeat that effort and end up frustrated. Thanks for your videos!

      I really appreciate folks who see the value of experimenting and pushing the limits of software. How do we improve workflows otherwise and how do we find out what the program can really do? Thank you!

    Hey man. Great video. I don't know if it's still relevant, but I came up with a solution.
    You prepare everything the way you did in the video. Then put a path in the air. A pedestrian will walk near your house(in the air) triggering the animation. You set the camera and wait for it

    Hey! lovely video (and smashed that like button!) Just wondering if you can do more videos on BIM coordination. Thanks!

      Hey thanks a lot for that! I can look into doing a little more of that. I know that would be some good information to share.

    Hola! Soy de Uruguay y gracias a tus videos hoy hice animaciones con "phasing", logré vender un proyecto gracias a eso. Muchas gracias. And with you i practice my english, maybe is not the best but is fun try understand.

      I am happy you were able to do animations with phasing! It is a bit different but it does work! Your English is really good!

    I have a crazy thought, what if instead of building the model, you take it apart. you let it continue far outside the screen so that it does not reset. If you play it backwards you have a good video, right? You can now enable it quite easily while you are in export mode. could it work?

    Nice videos! How about using the trigger option being activated by a camera trigger type and playing with the trigger zone areas? Then it should work using the once animation option to change the delay for the different phases. 🤓

    Just a thought. If you hide everything except the floor. Export a video of the floor only dropping down. Then have the floor stuck in its place, run the next animation and export only that video from the exact same position of coarse. Then carry on with the rest. Basically exporting a video of each animation. Then use an external video editor to stitch all the videos?

    • @ArchitectureVanguard
      @ArchitectureVanguard  3 года назад +1

      I could see this working but the main thing here is all the labor of stitching together by editing and masking out certain areas. This is not too difficult but the goal would be to have more control of these types of animations inside of Twinmotion. That is my hope for the future anyway.

    The way I have done a video of animation of different objects its having all the elements with different delay times so they all play at different times, and also doing different parts on a scene

    • @ArchitectureVanguard
      @ArchitectureVanguard  2 года назад

      That was unfortunately a limitation of animations. I wish we could time them all perfectly. I can see us having more control down the line.

    Hey! thanks for the animation lecture, just thinking can we set up phase, drag your different translator in phases to control ?

    • @ArchitectureVanguard
      @ArchitectureVanguard  3 года назад +1

      Hmm I feel like we would have similar luck but it is worth a shot.

    Create trigger zones along your camera paths for the videos.

    How you move the archicad objects in twinmotion, like windows or doors?

  • @lethaldj13

    the delay is useless even until now lol
    shame that there are alot of missing things in this feature. i want certain translators to activate after the first one completed its animation
    but apparently i cant do that even if i put 30 sec delay it isnt behaving like that
    one solution that i found online is have the translators line up off camera, turn on trigger by custom path
    then just have a custom path and run a cube thru the translators so they activate one after another.

Actually, I will wait to new video for twinmotion 2022 version :) Have a great time ! :)

      Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the length. Some are long haha. It is difficult and we have a couple more options of controlling animations now but still limited.
