The number one piece of advice I’d have for a new mommy like you is to always sleep when the baby sleeps. The first couple months as the baby’s growing physically and mentally can be very tiring especially if you’re breast feeding. That reminds me, if you are, drink lots of water. Very important too! Back to sleep, don’t try to be a “super mom” because that tough initial stage of new motherhood and major weight gain and brain development for the baby only lasts a couple of months. You being rested is the number one priority! Everything else will keep and therefore can wait. I’m so excited for you and Alex to welcome your little prince! Keeping good thoughts and sending much love and prayers for a safe and speedy delivery your way.🙏🏻 You’re going to be an amazing mommy!❤️

Mom of 10 here (9+10 are currently still cooking, starting 2nd trimester): sleep is tricky, but the #1 thing is to not panic when you can’t fall asleep! Find a way to make yourself comfortable. For me, I stack pillows into a ramp so I’m not lying flat to help with heartburn. If you have restless leg syndrome, try sleeping with a towel-wrapped ice pack near your feet. I always have Tums in my bedside table for when I wake up and feel sick, and try not to turn lights on if you have to use the bathroom (I put a nightlight in my bathroom). I hope this helps! Also, I usually sleep really well after babies are born, because I’m finally relieved of so many discomforts! Sleep when you can, let other people hold the baby, trust your husband to help ☺️ best wishes!
