Thank you for another amazing video! I am disabled due to a car accident and failed surgery and just getting started with scroll saw work. I have really enjoyed the few videos of yours I have watched so far and working my way through them all thumbs up on all of course! I do need some advice, please. I see you use the Dewalt saw which seems to work great. I will be working in a very small area is there any good quality saws on the market that have a decent dust collection built in? I would like to purchase something of great quality so it will last. Also, I was looking at buying some of your patterns for puzzles which blade and or blades do you use for the puzzle cutting? Thank you again for all you do sure is making a difference in my life and I am sure many other have a blessed day. -Paul

Hi Paul, good to hear from you. I think you'll enjoy yourself the more you start scrolling. It's definitely addictive. :-) Yes, I use the DeWalt, I'm very happy with them. It does not have built in dust collection. However, I recently purchased something called the Scrollnado off of Amazon and I'm very happy with it. It literally captures at least 95% of the dust, top and bottom. Something to look into for sure. There are other saws that do have some built in dust collection, I'm just not familiar with them so do your homework. As far as blades, I use the Pegas Modified Geometry #3 blades. They're excellent quality blades. Feel free to email me at woodcraftbyscott@gmail.com any time with other questions.

Why don’t you just replace the bearings and sleeves on other saws that broke. Several how to videos on RUclips on how it’s done.

Hey Vinnie, yep, I've watched them all and Bob Brokaw is the guru of it. I'm simply too busy with a full time job and at the time I had 2 side businesses as well... and... quite frankly I'm not too mechanically inclined. I did try once and failed miserably, so it's just easier to buy a new saw and at just $500, it's a very small part of my cost per puzzle that I make and sell. (1000 puzzles sold per year)
