I was a single mum. He was with someone else the whole time, all through my pregnancy. She knew about me; I did not know about her. I didn't know I was going to be a lone parent but I love my child and did the best I could. I was 31 which helped. I had no b/f, uncles, special friends during the first 5 years and if I couldn't take her, I wasn't going. Don't regret a thing. I have a wonderful daughter that I adore. Her dad? He emigrated to Australia when she was 5. We had visits, days out but he missed all the wonder of those early years. It was hard, lonely at times, broke, you pawn all your good jewellery rather than ask um n dad again. I wouldn't change barely a thing. Best thing I ever did.
