Even if the SD style isn't your thing, Mega Man Powered Up adds a ton of new content and challenge to a classic game. It's an amazing update that deserves to be played if you're a fan of OG Mega Man.
My favorite Megaman game just because of the playable robot masters. They really should rerelease it on pc. A lot of games where kinda doomed with the sales the second they went PSP/vita only.

AWESOME!!! Love the voice acting in the game and the new arranged soundtrack!! I found this game to be balls difficult playing on Hard Mode with any of the Robot Masters with their limited abilities and elemental weaknesses.....still a fun time, though!!! ^_^
This is the definitive way to play Mega Man 1. Difficulty is now much more balanced, the graphics now look better and the gameplay is much more refined compared to the original NES version full of rough edges, making it frustrating to play. Sadly, the bad reception killed any chanced for a Mega Man 2 remake
While the game itself is awesome, I always questioned the decision to even FURTHER turn Mega Man towards a kiddie style character. I mean, he's already a big eyed anime cute character. Why go even further in that direction?
I read somewhere that Inafune said this style had always been their intention, but the NES's hardware limited what they could really do. He was always intended to be a cutesy anime type character, regardless of how the US boxes seemed to want you to think otherwise. The Japanese cover art always made him look like a chibi/kawaii hydrocephaloid, which also meant X looked far harder-edged than Mega Man to the Japanese than he did to the western audiences.

It's just so...wrong that I love it. I'm also no fan of anime styled art. Guess it's why I utterly fell in love with the MMX series.
This and Maverick Hunter X were released on the PSP instead of the DS. In hindsight, a horrible decision. Back then...yeah it was still a bad decision.
The DS version would have to be downgraded if Capcom decided to port this game I am not necesssarily saying PSP is the best but Nintendo DS is the worst console for remakes
