The biggest upside of starting this game back when the Saw chapter was released is watching people's disbelief in older mechanics. "There is no way [insert perk] was that busted right? Surely the game wasn't this broken?". Old Decisive and Dead Hard, oldest Ruin, old instaheals, old mori's, and the bane of my existence; old keys. They were so unbelieavably overtuned that the community AGREED on nerfing them. Can you imagine? Survivors and killers agreeing that a certain system needs to be nerfed? Nothing in today's DbD is that busted.
Because it's not as busted as almost instantly healing mid chase with a syringe or using self care/we'll make. Old versions of a good bit of perks was more busted than MFT

I was alone in the forest. I saw Otz. He was absolutely speeding towards me. Luckily I had adrenaline so I was able to swiftly escape Otz. GGs WP Otz. You’ll catch me next time.
You can do this with Sprint Burst as well, although the lowered duration may make it more difficult to use. This effect stacks with Fixated as well, essentially turning your walk into a jog/run with no scratch marks. Fixated is a fantastic perk in general, especially with Sprint Burst, and I feel like it would've been beneficial in this video.
Balanced Landing can be used in a similar regard. In addition to being a good exhaustion perk in chase, it's a fantastic stealth perk as well due to not having your character cry out when they fall, and the speed boost when landing allows for plays like in Crotus Pren in the main building gen and that hole, when you hear the killer coming you can walk to the hole and drop without making a sound or leaving marks and hastily walk away. I consistently get killers confused, search lockers to no success, and leave.
Let us take a brief moment to remember old balanced, which would reduce the stagger from falling regardless of whether you were exhausted. The feature of many a N0ob3 video, may you never return
my favorite build back when i still played was going sprint burst + fixated and doing this same kind of thing, you just tap sprint for a second to activate sprint burst and the speed boost combined with fixated made you move at full running speed but without leaving scratch marks. i called it fix bursting and it was so good for stealth like this adrenaline trick, as soon as you hear heartbeat on the gen just fix burst out and break LoS and killers could rarely find me lol
And here I thought Otz was gonna talk about the true 3rd affect that for some reason in 2024 aderaline wakes you up against Freddy when he already loses his teleport in endgame. :P
I do the walking thing with sprint brust too, the problem is that you still make the running footsteps sound. It has good synergy with Ellen's perk tho
my favorite is still the one where you get a free bankable heal when you cleanse a totem (activated by going into a locker), being able to save up your heal will mean having that heal whenever you'll need it
I have been running adrenaline since 2019 because yeah its wicked powerful if you can stay alive until endgame. distortion works for 4 survivors, object of obsession only for one person, and you can be unlucky chosing only OoO when your 3 teammates can have ds or/and sole survivor so OoO wont work if you are not the obsession. Also I think a lot of ppl dont know that OoO shows you aura of the killer every time the killer sees your aura

Otz im new to the game(100h) an ever since I learned about the walk tech with fixiated, it has become one of my fav perks to use for my loop build an with some testing I found out that it actually stacks with HOPE👀, it MAY possibly be slightly slower then the adrenaline walk but this way makes it so it can’t run out!!
As a killer main i see this for the subliminal messaging it is. Otz is telling us all to bring NOED more often. Already getting ready for 4/4 survivors to have adren instead of 3/4.

Honestly.. I think we all knew about the obvious fast walk during adrenaline but never thought to use for stealth mid chase, we only ever think to use it for distance :o
Ive played through many other perks being way more powerful and never used them but always stuck to adrenaline. I’s rare to be a clutch or crutch but it’s always powerful and useful. Just yesterday it turned a 2man escape to a 4man, and yet I’ve never thought of using the walking
As a survivor main I usually agree with you otz but there’s simply no way adrenaline is the strongest perk in the game at all. The perk doesn’t even do anything the entire game until end game which is why it has never been nerfed. It simply is worse than ppl realize. Often you don’t even make it to end game to begin with. Lithe is so much better and any decent survivor can get at least 15-30 seconds more time out of the killer using it. And you’ll be using it more than just once even more than 3 times if you’re good and it actually does something for the team so they can finally get some gens done. Adrenaline is way to overrated especially since noed is a thing that killers use fairly often. Also using lithe I actually often wasted the killers time not even using a single pallet during a 1 minute chase. Not only that but you can get every from unsafe pallets using lithe if you win the mind game which I’ve also done plenty of times wasting the killers time so much. Adrenaline is a waste of a perk slot you might as well take lithe or sprint but which actually help you during the game

Isn't it weird that DS stuns the killer (grasp escape) and Head On counts towards altruism meanwhile pallet stun counts towards Boldness?

I love adrenaline except for the part where it wakes you up against Freddy and heals off hook. Healing off hook is just too OP
Instead if a survivor is on a hook, they should get like a 20 second reassurance
that completely gets rid of the point of having adrenaline?
