All respect to Izzy he didn't have to do this he could've just ran through another middleweight for fun but he challenged himself and failed what's good is that he's taking it on the chin. Even though there was a clear weight advantage for Jan, Izzy is not blaming anyone or anything else for his loss since he chose that. Both guys are champions.

Not true, he's had a couple of losses in MMA, this is his first loss in UFC. He's still got a crazy record, it's something like 99 wins to 5 losses. He used to fight in Japan too.
Edit for all the triggered morons. I meant he's had a few losses in his fighting career. His overall EXACT fighting record is 100-7.
He has a 5-1 boxing record with 1 KO.
He has a 79-5 kickboxing record with 29 KO’s, and 1 KO loss.

I don't think Izzy would win a rematch tbh. Jan had his number and Izzy winning would require for him to change his style drastically. Jan outstruck him early with the jab and Jan's defense was impeccbale(whenever he bit on feints he bit backward, and he checked every leg kick and parried a bunch of punches). Jan's power didn't really play a role and I think even if they were the same weight Jan would have won. Keep in mind Jan fatigued earlier due to his greater size and then incorporated grappling in the later rounds(right after the one round Izzy won, Jan's output slowed considerably in the 3rd)

I was surprised at Izzy's chin and his power, he took a couple clean shots from Jan and wasn't wobbled and he hurt Jan with one counter.
