  • Second part of my audio troubleshooting adventure. Try to watch and listen for clues. I summarize at the end.
    Android Recording apps:
    1) Smart Recorder by Smartmob (auto input level detection)
    2) RecForge II by Dje073 (user editable input levels)
Honorable Mention) Voice Record Pro by BejBej (visible meter)
"TRS Female to TRRS Male Splitter/Adaptor": amzn.to/2W6eGzt
This allows you to plug a 3.5mm microphone with two bands called a TRS plug into a cell phone or computer with a three bands also known as a TRRS plug. This should allow my phone to recieve audio from the mic in my helmet instead of distorted audio from my phone mic in my pocket.

That was exactly it. I got an adapter next day on Amazon and it works now with my mono mics. I also got the stereo mic to work with my digital recorder. Next I will try both and see what is better quality.

Yes yes yes, I had this issue before too. I was trying to record to my phone, but would only get noise recorded to the phone, and nothing to the mic. I think it's a different thing if you try to record with one of those phone mics/earpieces. I think it has to do with a phone using a different style plug. 3 black lines vs 2. I could be wrl g about that though. TRS VS TRRS. phones may use TRRS. I have to look at my plug for my camera, and the one for my s10+.

Have you tried VoiceRecord Pro app? It works with sena headsets no problem...gives decent audio recording..plus you can always play with adjusting the audio when you are editing vids. Getting there I see! 👍🏻
