I agree! This total asshole asking for a $400 dollar finders fee just for finding someone's phone I mean who does that and how does the owner of the phone know that the guy just found it how does he know the guy didn't steal it from him somehow I mean people are desperate these days they'll do anything for money they can steal your property from you and days, months, whatever later you encounter them again and they attempt to sell your own property back to you for a certain amount of money like in the case with this guy trying to get $400 dollars out of the owner of the phone as a finders fee this guy calls it and when the owner asks him why so much money? The creep tells him because he wants it and that should have told the owner of the phone something right there. Because he wants it! Ha! People in hell want ice water but they don't get it and why should this guy get $400 dollars just for a so-called finders fee!

Story 3 - Is it a possibility that Brian was looking for ways to break into OP's apartment? Y'know, circling around the house to see if there are any spots that he could come to later when OP isn't home or something?

Story 3 sounds like a scam. They “lose” their phone somewhere and find a victim. And then they say to meet at their home so they can get the address. Him walking around his house was him scoping it out. Checking entry points, weak accessible areas.

    • @fayewitt9881

That 2nd story made my blood boil with anger. When asked 'why should I pay you for giving me back what you stole?' this thief says 'because I want it'? That's some brazen thief mentality. They were at the door and did nothing to fight the guy and keep him from entering. Good job he took the phone and stole of the giys things. Why bother opening the door to begin with. What gets me about a lot of these types of stories is that you would think people wouldn't be so careless with their phones concerting the personnel info people put on their phones these days and I mean it's like people aren't too concerned about someone getting a hold of their personal info cause they wouldn't put it on their phones in the first place but it's a whole different story if their phones turn up missing, or they carelessly lose it or it's stolen either way then they freak out and it's like I'm sorry but I don't feel sorry for them and I'll tell you why because for the simple fact is if people weren't so damn careless with their phones knowing that they keep such personal info on them then they wouldn't have to worry about the wrong person getting a hold of their phones and if they didn't store such personal info on these phones in first place then they wouldn't have nothing to worry about and laptops same thing I mean you're just asking for trouble and if you're going to store personal info on these devices which obviously people do and will probably always do then my advice is be more responsible, don't be so careless with your laptop, your phone whatever, be more watchful of them cause it only takes a second for somebody to walk by and take it or they can just bump into you and take it whatever.

Sadly, a lost phone could cause a more serious situation. In my country, a girl found a phone in a restroom. She took it with her to give it to the security guard of the marine club she was with her friends. The owner and her boyfriend came across the girl and her friends. He asked them if they found a phone. The girl asked him to describe the phone. He got furious and shot her. It was a very shocking, pointless, vicious and outrageous crime.

@@jasonn4597 yes. It didn't come up during the trial, but I think his reaction was a combination of alcohol and some drug. Plus a lot of “machismo” (chauvinism). Because, they had a very brief discussion and he shot her. He asked about the phone, she asked for a description, he accused them to wanted to steal and she denied, he said: “You don’t know who am I” in a arrogant way and she answered: “I don’t care who are you”. That was all. The friends didn’t have time to react. But, it could be because of some mental issue and his family never mentioned it during the process. He never had any reaction, never. His face was always lacking of any emotion.
