    I could agree with all the negative comments about greasy hands, bla blah blah......but instead, I am going to compliment you on a killer video series, excellent work, I am very glad I watchedthis video. I would be completely happy to own a guitar that YOU built. If these other haters knew who I was they would hang their heads in shame.

  • @frostedhead
    @frostedhead 7 лет назад +4

    I've just viewed your Chibson AFD vid! it's cool that you've decided to take matters in your own hands by purchasing the bones and making the guitar the way you want it to be. I'm going to buy an LP neck and body from a Chinese seller on Ebay throw on some premium parts! Gibson is way out of control.

  • @arielhartung4557
    @arielhartung4557 7 лет назад +11

    Are you sure this is the same body, that you used in the first video? Flames look quite different...

    • @themookie2112
      @themookie2112 6 лет назад +6

      yep....different. If you go back to video 1, the body has number 202 written in pencil in the neck joint. In this body, it has number 58 written in blue marker.......

  • @areyouavinalaff
    @areyouavinalaff 7 лет назад +18

    3:22 that's the worst way to use that blade. you need hold it at nice near vertical angle and go all the way round the binding in one swift fluid motion, one long scrape... not chipping at it like that.

    • @MrRoach-yo3mz

    so this is what they do in Gibson factory nowadays? nice work grease hand, nice blade handling and nice clamping. Go Gibson!

  • @RBFR01
    @RBFR01 7 лет назад +5

    If you stain it yellow and then add 2 layers of orange will it look good like Slash's afd guitar or will it look terrible?

    Tite bond is an aliphatic wood glue. It does a chemical reaction when it dries. It,s really as strong as epoxy wood to wood.

  • @guitarsofold100
    @guitarsofold100 9 месяцев назад

    That is a totally different body to part one different number in the neck pocket and different route in the bridge pick up cavity!

    I wanna get one of these. Only thing stopping me is I don't want to give my credit card to some shady random county. But the guitar looks solid. Great. I got ta get one. I just don't want to get ripped off.

      actually i just did that. iv been messing with it the whole time to try and get the grain right. i really wanted a nice uniform flame once i get that i stained it darker today so its more the orange that slashs is.

      JamSessionTV yeh cool man it's just you see so many pictures of slash's guitar and it looks lighter then one another pic looks darker lol i think his les paul vos is better than his other gibson signature aswell

    Decent job. I'd do the set neck glue last. Hammering in the bridge and string posts can take its toll on the set neck. Just sayin.

    was this kit from albatross? I am doing one now and the frets are terrible. I have done kits from a few different makers and albeit these kits are hit and miss the frets on the neck were not even installed all the way into their groves all the way. saga makes a way better kit.

    • @noviceshredder9825
      @noviceshredder9825 6 лет назад

      stepvan Joe I just bought an eBay pango kit. I did level, recrown, polish the frets how I like them, but was honestly impressed how decent they were to start with, being a cheap kit. The wood quality was way more decent than expected as well. It still needs work to be awesome, but I’m glad I didn’t spend more for a kit from another kit company, just to end up with the same thing. If you haven’t used them the only thing I would warn you on is you wait a solid month for shipping.

    I like that you are basically being real. BUT if you are going to give me BS in a major way, no respect! That number 58 in neck pocket wasn’t in first video...in fact, the interior pickup holes are different. WHAT I WOULD DO is scrap the series of this project or make a part 1A to explain why you swapped bodies to save face!
