Love that for the first time, someone pointed out the imps’ legs and skin. It’s not subtle at all and I’m amazed they made it without human disguises like Barbie Wire’s
I imagine it's because people just assume they're physically disabled or something. You don't just look at someone and go "the fuck's wrong with your legs?" (unless you're a teenage girl apparently)
Actually, this whole Season 2 Helluva Boss episode was the real fucking disgrace here. Even as a fan of Helluva Boss, this episode had definitely lived up to its title. And not in a good way. At all.
yk. For how much Moxxie said he needed to prepare. He should've been the first person to realize disguising with Millie as siblings was a horrible idea
@@who4990 They're married. If any of the humans had seen some of the things they did when alone in this episode (and the things that they would have had the potential to do if they weren't busy having marital strife) and also the fact that he kept almost revealing she was his wife, never mind that ENTIRE announcement he made on the stage, there would have been some major questions of incest. Hell, there probably are already.
An episode that was focused on Millie, I’m so glad. Judging by how she was enjoying everyone cheering her and people rewarding her it must have felt good. When she says “ This is the first time I hear people actually cheering me on and not running away in fear.”

18:35 just realized that Moxie tries to kill a target with a melee weapon, but Millie inadvertently kills the target with a range weapon. They swapped roles 😁
That’s actually so great. A similar thing happened with the main villain of Across the Spider-Verse: the directors initially discounted The Spot as a throwaway villain, which ironically became his story arch in the movie, an insignificant character to a real threat. I love when directors use their creative process in a meta way like this.
I find it very interesting that when Barb tells Blitzo she never wants to see him again, she points directly at the necklace Blitzo has from his mother. Her finger even folds up when in contact with the necklace. Maybe the reason for this is because Barbie is indirectly telling Blitzo that the reason she never wants to see him is the same reason why he is the one wearing the necklace and not their Mom.
@@XY66557remember when blitz pushed away Stolas, just before he curled up on the couch crying, when he was scrolling through his phone and he comes across the pic of him, Barbie and someone who everyone assumes to be his mom. I love the small details on the characters, from moxxie wraping his hair around his horns to imitate ponytails, to Barbie having blitzøs family mark on her forehesd being crossed out, such a small detail to a big background story, showing she wants nothig to do with blitz or her past
can we just appreciate how well detailed the client was? we are probably never going to see them again but its a very nice detail on how they are designed.
Tbh it looks like one of those characters that get put in for being a patreon or make a wish or some shit, not saying it's a bad thing but thats just what it reminds me of
I noticed she actually calls him Blitz when in a state of shock. I wonder if it was the nickname his mother had for him and he's desperately trying to keep it alive by insisting on it, thus keeping alive a part of his mother. It's not till Moxxie goes to kill the teen and she's less shocked and More pissed does she say 'Bitzo', even emphasising the O to show how she refuses to treat him familiarly anymore. To convey her anger even
Anyone else notice that Blitz never corrects Barbie when she says “BlitzO”. Most likely because she’s one of the only people that can use his actual name since she’s family.
It’s because he’s trying to not mess it up and then in the end he messes it up WTH I just sent this to days ago and it just already got to 54 likes- (by the way sorry for being that person who says that))
probably cause he really wants to have a healthy relationship with his sister, i dont what blitz did that ruined her life that much, but at the moment, barbie just feels like a crappy sibling
It might be because they never were meant to be in the human world. I would guess more demons are like that but also the imp team is.... Kinda dumb. Xp
Uh, _excuse me?!_ Are you misgendering Moxxine?! I don't know where the hell Moxxie and Millie went in this episode, they kinda just disappeared after the 3:27 mark, but I do know that misgendering Moxxine like that is _so_ not cool. Also, how dare those girls imply that Moxxine's legs are anything but perfectly normal human legs?!
It's an excellent example of a 3-way fight where everyone has a different objective. I'd have liked to have seen it animated straight, but there wasn't time to resolve the emotional arc separately.
This episode gave Millie more character development then any other episode in the entire show. She had so much personality and looked like she had so much fun.
@@jaketucker2559 I'd say it's a little different as we haven't seen Barbie Wire outside of photos or posters till now as opposed to Millie, who's been a somewhat active character in almost every episode yet never really gets a chance to expand past "loving but violent wife of Moxxie". There is still plenty of time for Barbie to get expanded on, but Millie has been long overdue for a chance to really shine.
I love that this episode showed that even in healthy relationships couples still picker and fight but strong healthy relationships will flourish through the dark days. I wish precious episodes would have showed off and built up to how Millie has an insecurity of being enough.
Yea, I really appreciate that we get more depth to why Millie is so good at her job, and how insecure she is. It’s not a lot of depth yet, but it’s finally giving her a crumb of something.
This is true. I'm married, we argue sometimes, but we always come around and remember that all that matters is each other. We make up for it and ultimately support each other because that's what you do.
Not really, because healthy relationships aren't lovey-dovey 100% percent of the time. A healthy relationship means balance and sometimes that means stormy weather to drop the pressure of sunnier times. Problem is society imposes a false (and ultimately damaging) narrative that the best relationships must be hugboxes and negative emotions have no place in one. That's just a recipe for one of the couple to wind up repressed and a doormat, and if a relationship is an equal exchange then that means there can't be any doormats
but its rough for moxxie because he is never allowed to succeed at anything because his success always ruins millies mood, its like she desires for him to fail so that she is needed
I’ve noticed how blitz doesn’t mind when people from his past (Barbie, verosika, fizz, etc) call him blitzo. He knows he hurt them and he really regrets it :(
Wackford calls him Blitzo as well, Wonder what kind of relationship they have. We've seen Wackford work in Greed's Loo Loo Land, so that might me an old relationship. Also, he promptly shoots the TV when Wackford's commercial aires in the Cherub episode, and Wackford maliciously mocks stolas for "sleeping with an imp" in the Ozz episode, even though he already probably knew Stolas and Blitz had some sort of love/carnal relationship (as evidenced by the Harvest Moon episode).
I like how this episode acknowledged the disguises, because in previous episodes nobody cared or noticed that they are demons. They didn’t seem to notice the red skin, sharp teeth, goat legs, or horns, but here they acknowledge it and that’s pretty funny. Great episode.
Which begs the question - is the fact that Barb CAN disguise herself a character thing, or a lore thing? Like, did she gain a power or did the others lose theirs? How and why? Because of something of how imp hierarchy works, or because Barb was willing to do something that Blitzo couldn’t, or did Blitzo and the rest of IMP do something that inhibits their powers?
I figured that before no one said anything bc they were in CA (both to find Octavia and to kill that rich guy) and people there would just figure they were cosplays. But here at a preteen camp it doesn't work
I know, he was clearly annoyed but I think he was holding it in because he felt whatever he did to upset her, can't easily be undone and being an ass about his name would just make things harder
pretty sure the reason he corrects ppl isnt because its the wrong way to say it. he has some sort of trauma (likely w his family from what we’ve seen) around that name and wanted to separate himself from it. so now he says the O is silent, even tho it originally wasnt. So thats a good detail seeing how his own sister calls him that because that’s probably what shes known him as her whole life. Nice catch tho, i didnt originally notice that

You can tell that the thing with Stolas has actually affected Blitzo. The things he says to his sister at the end feels like something he wouldn't of said before, as well as the reaction he had. Like he would of been more passive aggressive like when he first saw her and then would of played off the rejection as if he really cared. Now if only he could do this with Stolas.
Exactly like what Stolas would say to Blitzo too. "Do you wanna talk it out? Have dinner?" He's mirroring Stolas, and it seems that really, he knows he has a problem and WANTS to be like Stolas. Except that he's only repeating the dysfunctional parts of Stolas' approach; only saying this kind of stuff with people who are mean and will definitely reject you. Hopefully, they can both grow; Stolas realizing his worth and Blitzo realizing he can talk vulnerably, especially with Stolas.
Its nice seeing blitz care for his twin sister 🥺 but after barb said those harsh words make him a sad imp this is the only reason why blitz is my favorite of all
i really swear i’m not saying this to try to be mean or anything i just genuinely want you to know, in instances like how you said, “he would of been” it’s actually, “he would have been”. i understand if you’re annoyed i still just wanted to tell you

Please, can we just talk about how real Moxxie and Millie's relationship is? Like not only do they show a healthy loving relationship, but it's not always "Sunshine and rainbows", couples fight, but what made this very healthy was the fact that Moxxie realized what he did, and quickly tried to make it up to Millie. There wasn't any abuse, gaslighting, etc. Just, a healthy argument. That's what I love about these two.
It was out of character btw. We already established their personalities and we know that this situation doesn't fit well on them. They're not the right character to show this. Bad writing.
Even if it’s not a full Millie episode it’s still nice to learn more about her since as we learn she does love the attention and praise from the people at the camp. It’s something at least. Who knows this could be used to understand her character more in the future.
She most likely likes the praise because she probably didn't get as much of it at home. Like her family still loves her obviously but her sister is probably the favorite and got praised more probably for being more discreet with her killings whereas millie is more rambunctious lol She probably liked getting the praise because she used to being in the background a lot lol. Who knows tho. It was nice seeing this side of her.
@@lonerevenant0 Even without automatically assuming it's her sister, Millie comes from a large family, meanwhile Moxxie is an only child. For a client who can't swim and died from drowning, I find their character design in the demon world fascinating since they turned into something relating to the water, a sea creature of sorts.
I guess they live in the Envy Ring now. That is a huge ocean. But maybe they have this form here because of the way they died. After all, the teacher from the first episode of season 1 killed her husband and herself "in a fit of blind rage" and her demon forms had hooves and horns that were similar to a bull, which is an animal considered very aggressive
Some of the designs sinner demons have a little bit of ironic details like that. For example, Alastor from Hazbin Hotel was killed by a hunter and his demon form looks like a deer.
@@andreagrussu6778I think it's stated that sinners don't go to the ring related to their sin, and they're all stuck in Pride, and that caused the overpopulation since they aren't spread all along hell as they should be
what i love most abt this episode is seeing another side of millie. so far, we have seen all of the important characters’ backstories and trauma, and while millie seemingly comes from a good family as shown in episode five, i think its amazing of how we see that millie has issues as well.
@@musicaman8683 when saying issues, i mainly refer to how its shown that millie doesnt have a perfect life. she talks about how she finally feels important, which could go deeper than just feeling valid. shes shown in a more vulnerable way than the other episodes, where shes usually shown as a violent but sunshiney killing machine.
YESSS FINALLY WE SEE MORE OF MILLIE! I've been waiting so long ;-; I still hope they show more of her independent from just being Moxie's scary wife. She's great on her own and has so much potential
I’m so happy for Millie getting more screen time and finally not being pushed to the side but also I still feel really bad for moxie. blitz calling barbie out for using heroin because it "bearly gets rid of a headache" seems to say that human drugs have less effect on demons, which would be a cool detail.
@@BioYuGi an opioid addict, that’s not how opioids work 😅 in order for him to maintain such a high tolerance, he’d have to be a heroin addict himself and maintain using on a daily basis (since just one day of not using lowers your threshold), which he obviously isn’t as the show never goes out of its way to portray him as such. so it makes more sense that earth drugs have less of an effect on hellborns
Probably part of a sinner's punishment. Drugs do not provide an escape from hell, and merely give you cravings for what little they do. This also extends to imps as well for some reason, i'm guessing.
It’s an illustration of how people look for love in the wrong places when what they need is right in front of them. It’s frustrating for everyone because A) the rejection is painful, but the fact that B) it’s unnecessary trauma to add on top of the longing is exactly why I’m hoping Blitz will go back to Stolas and stop doing the same thing the man I love does.
stolas does care about him but mot the way blitz wants. he goes to him for sex and that fake date they went on proved that stolas still has prejudice against imps even if he doesnt mean to. so blitz thinks stolas sees him as an object. and to be fair he kind of does. they both need psychiatric help
@@willywompa9663 one problem with your post: Stolas doesn’t have prejudice against imps in general, let alone Blitz. Ozzie’s showed he’s ashamed of the fact that he destroyed his family, not of Blitz or being with an imp. Why would he be friends with Blitz as a child and seek a relationship with him as adults if that were the case? You’re not being objective or seeing things from more than Blitz’s perspective. I’m not faulting you for this because it is Blitz’s show and therefore we’re only shown one perspective, but if the shoe fits and all. Stolas’s personality is very similar to my own, so I can say this with confidence: Blitz is insecure as all hell (understandably so) because of how high ranking Stolas is, therefore he thinks Stolas sees him as an object, even though he really doesn’t. It’s simply put projection. Stolas is really bad at flirting, most likely because he’s surrounded by repressed royals who do nothing but insult Stolas, so if it rubs off on him a little he can hardly be faulted for that. It’s not an excuse, but it makes sense. That doesn’t mean Blitz is right about Stolas seeing him as an object because clearly he doesn’t. Like it or not, Blitz has his issues too. They both need help, yes, but not for the reason you project onto Stolas. Stolas needs help because he’s insecure as hell too and his depression is causing him to smother Blitz. I’m not saying Stolas is guiltless because he really is awkward around Blitz, but you’re giving him far more crap than he deserves. He’s not Stella.
I noticed that too. This shows us a side of Blitz we don't usually see. Blitz wants to make things right for his sister. Sure he can't change the past but Barbie can't run away from her problems, and I think she knows it. But all that effort he put into looking for her sister to try to help her, you think it was a waste? Could Blitz try this again?
I think the issue is that Blitz has burned a LOT of bridges in his past. I assume Blitz caused Barbie to go into Rehab and likely dragged her down to his level the same way he tried to drag down all the other people in is life. Sure, he's trying to make up and be better NOW, but a lot of what he did in the past is still haunting him. From Fiz, to Verosica, to his own sister; he's only recently realized just how toxic he was to everyone around him. The problem is that they just don't want to deal with him anymore. He likely ruined years of their lives and they don't want him around now because of the time lost. He has only himself to blame, and instead of trying to insert himself back into their lives forcefully, he should just let them live their lives and try to keep things peaceful.
Except I don't think the issue with his sister was like with v and f. For all I know this might have been the one bad parting he regrets. In fact we still don't know how his freadship with f ended. So what makes this brother sister relationship gone bad different that he was trying to get back in touch. As for the last thing you said. Blitz is a deamon, keeping things peaceful is not in his nature. Given his line of work. We will see how things unfold in time.
the problem is that, we don't know what he has done exactly to Barbie for her to hate hime that much: is that the fact he quits the circus so she feel lefts out and so she begin drugs , because all the pression was on her ?( remember fizz is gone , blitz too), she even put a cross on her forehead to make clear she doesn't want to be associate with him ? the fact that their mother died and she blames blitz for it ? maybe nothing much actually maybe she was the one toxic to Blitz, and get angry when he tries to cut ties?
Of course, he really cares about her. I noticed that too, poor Blitz, it’s like he’s the black sheep of the family, always ignored or blamed or hated :( I don’t remember if he did anything to deserve it but I don’t think so
Something I really liked about Barbie's design was that the crest/mark on her forehead is crossed out. The only demons that I could see with this mark were the ones from their circus, so by having it crossed over is a way of distancing herself from that. Also, I think it's still present on Fizz, it's just covered by the Heart, at certain parts of Ozzie's you can see that the heart is actually a physical object and not makeup. Plus, why is the mark still present on Barbie in her human form?
because it’s a tattoo and all the tattoos, scars & marks appear in human form too (so I hope one day we’re going to see Blitzø’s human form and his scars!!!)
The mark is probably still on her human form because even though she marked it off in her demon form, it symbolizes a painful reminder of who she was and where she came from!
The fact that Moxie still acts so pure and innocent with his schemes yet constantly gets knocked down just makes me feel like the poor lad's about to crumble. How many hits can you survive before you feel like it's all you're good for?
Issue is Moxxie has always been supportive of her in the series. She generally gets more attention, respect and praise than he does from other characters, and he still always builds her up in front of everyone else. This job was supposed to be his chance to shine since he was put in charge, which btw Millie right out the gate showed a lack of confidence in. They also WERE supposed to be blending in, not gathering attention. Frankly I am not sure why Millie needed everyone to make her feel good about herself at this particular time of all times.
Man, I feel bad for Blitz. The way he was trying to apologize to her and was trying to help her, you can see he feels bad for whatever happened between them and is trying to make things right. I don't know what happened with their family, but I really wish they will get along after some time - I just want to see Blitz being happy with his family for once. And the fact that in their fight, he wasn't really trying to harm Barbie, he was just trying to hold her down until Moxxie gets the job done.
Whatever it is that happened between Barb and Blitz must've been unforgivable. And if Fizz the Clown is hateful towards Blitz, then it must've been *really* bad. Two of the people he was close with in childhood not wanting anything to do with him? What did Blitz do to make them hate him so much? Even Barb's nurse was trying to keep Blitz away from his sister. It must've been awful!
Her forehead tattoo of an X across her crest seems to int that she is rejecting her connection to her family. But I think after Ozzie's Blitzø is actively trying to fix his relationships.
@@sarahfarr7400hay quienes teorizan que la razón por la que ellos lo odian tanto es porque por accidente o apropósito incendió el circo, que hasta incluso la madre de blitzø y barbie murió en el incendió
Look, I know everyone is like “Moxxie is so heartless in this episode. He really showed his true colors, and is a selfish person that wants everything his way, and for everything to be put in place by Millie.” Yet I don’t disagree, the reason why Moxxie was like this becuase he was with someone that can actually open up to. If this was with randoms, he wouldn’t have shown his real colors. Also, his character build-up throughout the show has had him with bad luck, and the punching bag almost every episode. He’s used to having no one to share to, to open up to. So yes, he is selfish in this episode, but it’s not how everyone is thinking. The reason why Millie is so ashamed of Moxxie, is of course, because of him being egotistical and wanting everything to be his way, even though she already had it down. At the end of the day, yes, you can dislike Moxxie, in the episode or in general, but take that into consideration because he has a heart, he is the only one really that actually cares about other, rather being victims, or friends/family.
The one episode that Moxxie and Millie are at odds with each other. Every other episode they’re the most wholesome couple in the show, but even soul mates fight sometimes. They worked it out in the end and that’s what matters.

At first I thought that it makes sense to sneak in because no one would let a low grade demon like imps to high rank demons like Stolas. But it was for Barbie. Thanks Blitzo I almost forgive you for letting Stolas hanging in the last episode! There's still a chance it happened off screen like their after talk of Ozzie's.

Agreed. Honestly, she seemed to have a pretty good life: humble farm background, parents who love her and want the best for her, loving husband, good job. What happened to her that /she/ feels inadequate, when Moxxie has been getting insulted and berated most of his career and life, and is always treated like he can't do his job right from his boss. Even his own wife wouldn't believe he'd be in charge of a solo mission!!!
Millie mentioned that she has siblings in the Loo Loo Land episode. It's possible that she might have a brother or sister that overshadow her accomplishments, and gets more praise from everyone than her. Or maybe she's like Ty Lee from Avatar who always get compared to her siblings, and want to stand out. There's also hints throughout the series that Millie does tend to go into a murderous rage, especially when she gets very emotional that even scares Loona, in that episode where Blitzø and Moxxie were kidnapped in the human world. So it's also possible that as a child growing up, Millie is very hard to control for her parents and tends to put her in a leash type situation. That is until she met Moxxie, who is the only one who is able to curb her murderous rage.
Didn't we meet some of her siblings - or at least some cousins - when they went to War? Her parents weren't exactly supportive of her and always talked down to her, so I feel like it's pretty self-evident at this point.

Well least he’s able to be awesome in that he managed to have enough sanity in spite of his awful childhood thanks to his bully of a father. he’s both my favorite character and spirit animal in this series.
Who knows what was going through his head during his and Millie’s fight… I noticed he was flinching a lot and one time even looked like he was (maybe subconsciously) bracing himself.. (it’s very clear Moxxie is my favorite character)
I have a theory that Millie always felt like she was in her siblings shadows growing up. (Kinda hinted in the first Striker episode) so her having the chance to shine and people beside Moxxie seeing how amazing she is made her feel special
I have pity for Blitzø in this episode. He spent a whole week trying to find his sister Barbie, only for her to coldly reject him. Whatever happened between them was really bad. He actually wanted to help her, that's how much he actually cares about her. Edit: I just saw the new episode. I think what happened there is why Blitzø and Barbie have a strain between them.

It’s really nice to be seeing Millie get screen time and development. She doesn’t need a dark and sad backstory like many of the other characters, so what we’ve gotten in this episode is a good change.
After this episode, I think she just wants more support from people around her better than that. I don’t think she has like a big backstory like the other characters.

The fact that humans in this series can see past Moxxie’s femboy disguise but can’t see past Millie’s tomboy disguise is one of the funniest parts of the episode.

I find it very interesting that when Barb tells Blitzo she never wants to see him again, she points directly at the necklace Blitzo has from his mother. Thank you for pointing that out!

You can tell that the thing with Stolas has actually affected Blitzo. The things he says to his sister at the end feels like something he wouldn't of said before, as well as the reaction he had.
Like he would of been more passive aggressive like when he first saw her and then would of played off the rejection as if he really cared.
Now if only he could do this with Stolas.
Exactly like what Stolas would say to Blitzo too. "Do you wanna talk it out? Have dinner?" He's mirroring Stolas, and it seems that really, he knows he has a problem and WANTS to be like Stolas.
Blitz continues to search for the affection of everyone who will not give it to him... even though Stolas does so unconditionally.
Unfortunately we desire what we can't have
stolas does care about him but mot the way blitz wants. he goes to him for sex and that fake date they went on proved that stolas still has prejudice against imps even if he doesnt mean to. so blitz thinks stolas sees him as an object. and to be fair he kind of does. they both need psychiatric help
It's a common thing, he subconsciously does it so he has an excuse to b a douchebag
If you notice, Blitz never did anything to try to hurt Barbie, he always tried to pull her away or hold her down.
I noticed that too, poor Blitz, it’s like he’s the black sheep of the family, always ignored or blamed or hated :( I don’t remember if he did anything to deserve it but I don’t think so
Something I realized is, Moxxie took a whole week to finish his job, but then we see blitzø still fighting that guy. For a week.

@@ThatguyUkn0wfr0mS0mewhere Who's Wackford?
Something I really liked about Barbie's design was that the crest/mark on her forehead is crossed out. The only demons that I could see with this mark were the ones from their circus, so by having it crossed over is a way of distancing herself from that. Also, I think it's still present on Fizz, it's just covered by the Heart, at certain parts of Ozzie's you can see that the heart is actually a physical object and not makeup. Plus, why is the mark still present on Barbie in her human form?
the mark seems to be a tattoo
Or a genetic thing?
because it’s a tattoo and all the tattoos, scars & marks appear in human form too
(so I hope one day we’re going to see Blitzø’s human form and his scars!!!)
Just like how Verosika crossed out her tattoo from when she and Blitzø were dating

Her parents literally crapped on her for being injured by Striker too.
Honestly yeah...I genuine feel so bad for blitz..
Further proof that his family is very dysfunctional
Her forehead tattoo of an X across her crest seems to int that she is rejecting her connection to her family. But I think after Ozzie's Blitzø is actively trying to fix his relationships.

Oh god, I gotta say, I had a hard time watching Moxie trying to win over the affection of the camp goers. Made me cringe right out of my skin

Yea, funny how this episode felt kinda tone-deaf to the season, which is ironic because Queen Bee episode felt like the aftermath of the events around Stolas, hence I didn't even notice that episode was meant to be for Season 1.

Hopefully Millie's past will be revealed to us in the future because she said that she finally feels important.
What do you mean Millies past? I seriously doubt there's anything they haven't showed us already.
@@0-M72-0 Do you not know how story telling works? No matter what they show you, there can always be more added and elaborated.
